WOW Daz :-D your seedlings are looking INCREDIBLE and so healthy, they are absolutely thriving under the Mars Hydro FC-E3000 and in the grow tent, your Succulents look wonderful all tidied up and re potted, a lot of my Succulents in the polytunnel are desperate for a good tidy up and a re start haha, thanks so much for sharing the wonderful update Daz, and Hans and I are sending you and beautiful Edith lots of love and happiness and PLANT POWER to England and Singapore for a fantastic afternoon and evening ahead XXXX
@Cactimania2 жыл бұрын
Thank you so much, Lyn 😊 Yeah these succulents were long overdue a tidy up and repot, still got a few others to do as well. This grow light has been awesome so far, I just need to keep reminding myself it’s more powerful than the TS1000 so doesn’t need to be as high on brightness as that one lol. Thank you so much again, Lyn. Have a wonderful afternoon and evening from Edith & myself to you and Hans ❤️🌵☀️🌼🌺🏜🎄

Thank you for the update, Sweetheart. Seeing the Echeverias and Sedums reminded me of why I got into this hobby. I started with them first but was unsuccessful. The seedlings look amazing! Their patterns, forms, colours & spines are really showing nicely now. Loving your little helper fan there. It’s doing an awesome job together with the grow tent and grow light! 🥰 Enjoyed watching with you, as always, no matter how late. ❤️🤗😘🌺🌼🌸🌵💚
@Cactimania2 жыл бұрын
Thank you so much my love 🥰 Yeah I was never a huge fan of the Echeveria, as you know haha, but when they grow nice and compact and have those colours, I do like them more. That fan has been excellent in the tent, really does help with keeping humidity down and keeps that air moving around the plants. Enjoyed watching with you too 🥰 Thank you as always babe for all your love, support and encouragement ❤️🤗😘🌺🌸🌵❤️

You have some interesting looking seedlings growing. Yaye, you are growing lithops! I’m cheering for them. 😁 I’m curious as to how your tent looks from the outside. Maybe in your succeeding videos, you can take an outside shot? I would like to get an idea of how big of a space one needs for it.
@Cactimania2 жыл бұрын
Thank you so much, Ana 😊 Haha yeah the Lithops are doing ok amazingly 😂 Yeah I’ll do an outside shot of the tent at some point, it does take up quite a bit of space. Thank you for watching and commenting as always. Have a wonderful day and Christmas from Edith & myself 🌵☀️🌼🌺🌸🏜☕️🎄

Great to see those little cuties again. Where did you get the stellata seeds? The one with variegation. Your own agua dulce hybrid seeds, are the parents with variegation? What did you do to the roots of the jelly beans and echeveria? Sure they’ll grow back again. Merry Christmas and a happy new year to you and Edith 💚🌵
@Cactimania2 жыл бұрын
Thank you so much, Kath 😊 The stellatum seeds were from you, variegation is a thing that can happen naturally, even if the parent plants weren’t variegated, like the Augu Dulce seedling that’s variegated, neither parent plants have variegation in them. I just discarded the roots from the jellybeans and the graptosedum, they’re very prolific and I have too many of them haha. Thank you for watching and commenting as always, Kath. Have a wonderful day and Merry Christmas from Edith & myself to you and Phil 🌵☀️🌺🌼🌸🏜🎄

Nice video, thanks for taking the time to share with us. When you use your skewer to clean up the roots, is there ever a problem with root damage? I mean like using a sharp end or a straight cut end. I am using a slightly tapered end, but it seems like a sharp end would be a better option. Thanks.
@Cactimania2 жыл бұрын
Thank you, Bill 😊 Root damage is inevitable with whatever tool is used to clean up the roots, but I’ve always done it this way as I find it’s better for the plants growth. Just loosening the outside of the root ball, you’re still left with a tight mass in the centre. Thank you for watching and commenting as always. Have a wonderful day and Christmas from Edith & myself 🌵☀️🌺🌼🌸🏜

Hi how long do the gymnocalycium seeds take for them to strike mine have been in about three weeks and I have not seen any of them as yet, as they are very small I was wondering if that is why they have taken so I have astrophytum as well and they don't take very long to come up I have some of the of the ones that you mentioned. You and your family have a nice Christmas 🎄
@Cactimania2 жыл бұрын
Usually a couple of weeks, but can vary between species. Three weeks is a little long, but don’t give up on them just yet. I’ve had seeds germinate after a month or more. Thank you for watching and commenting, have a wonderful Christmas from Edith & myself 🌵☀️🌼🌺🏜

Helo sir how to protect echeveria and other succulents during hot summer about 40 to 45 degree C am from INDIA. PLEASE GUIDE
@Cactimania2 жыл бұрын
I would recommend shade netting. Putting them in a more shaded location and out of direct hot sunlight will also help. When it’s very hot here I also have fans blowing air over the plants to help keep temperatures down. Thanks for watching and commenting 🌵☀️🌼🏜
