@gpront Thank you gpront, I don't think people should be disliking her so much. It was Andi and her family's secision to leave and somebody had to fill in the spot, we should be upporing Mackenzie and praising her for taking on the challenege of filling in for Andi.

@musicchick581 Speaking of head voice, that's Andi's forte. She seems to have perfected it's use that's probably why you never hear her strain her voice and PROBABLY that's why she was their lead singer.

I thought it was cute how star struck they were when they saw Selena Gomez. The Cactus Cuties were on Disney when That's So Raven was on. It couldn't have been the same girls though.

@Other299 Tatum Lowe is her name. Other people can tell you more about her but she still lives in Texas and I believe she was sort of like Andi. Tatum and her parents talked to Cami and they decided not to do the Cuties anymore as did Andi's.

The newest cuties are teenagers, Baylee just graduated believe it or not, and two others are in highschool. They will probably go their seperate ways soon.

Mackenzie has a very mature singing voice. I kept rewinding her part!! :) Blaire's voice is very musical and the other two are also spectacular. Beautiful girls with amazing talent! Kept it up ladies! :)

What frustrates me most is how hypocritical some cuties fans are. A few years ago if anyone commented something mean about the girls, they would be pounced on by fans claiming that "they're amazing singers" and they're "just young girls". Yet now they seem to have forgotten this. Yes, we all miss Andi, but that's no reason to attack Makenzie! She's an amazing singer, she's just a young girl, and it is absolutely not her fault that she's replacing Andi - give her a break!

Yes Kenzie got thrown into this performance with very little time/preparation, because Andi had recently left the group. She was nervous and new to this kind of exposure. I think the sound tech was mostly to blame for the harmony not blending. A good sound tech would have turned down Kenzie's mich after her initial solo. Her harmony was pitch perfect, but it was not blended with the other girls, so it made her louder, throwing off the blend of the group. She's come a long way since this video.

I kind of wish they'd mentioned that Mackenzie was very new to the group. It almost felt like a bit of an insult to Andi and what the girls have always been as a group by acting as if they'd got to where they are today without her. But hey, if i'd never seen them sing with Andi I would have been incredibly impressed with their performance. Wonderful and talented as usual :)

(I know they don't fit but just an example) The person would probably bee able to make something even better out of the beatles but it would just end up missing the original factor and image they had.

@1m6 Most successful school choral programs taught by musicians who were vocal majors in college, teach their students the difference between proper belting and head voice. When a singer crosses the "break" in their voice, head voice will emerge naturally and shouldn't take perfecting. I learned it at age 3 and I'm an instrumentalist. They seem to be taught to belt, as Andi did as well. When they start losing their voices from singing, that indicates strain and improper belt, so they can gauge.

@gpront when I made this account I didn't know anything about KZbin so I thought I would have to make my age older to get one. I'm 13. Btw. I agree that kids are usually that way at that age but what im trying to say is the cuties were mature beyond their ages and that gave it their special sort of spark. Makenzie is a very good singer but she takes away the special mature and best friends bond that the group used to have

@gpront Tatum was told she would not be included in the bid to go national. She was told via a phone call from Cami Caldwell on her way back from a skiing vacation. This took place after the video, when everyone was so excited, when little ten year old Tatum could think of little else. Any thoughts on what that could do to a little girl's self esteem? She was good enough to take part in the great video but not good enough to go national? Why don't you even care about the 5th little girl??

@gpront I thought Makenzie was okay on the show. I'm not blaming her because Andi broke our hearts. Makenzie really isn't my main focus here. All I'm saying is that I miss Andi, her voice was the heart and sole of the group and regardless of how much experience you have singing, it's about the chemistry you have and Andi had a very strong chemistry with the girls, they were like her sisters. And regardless of who replaces Andi, you can't replace that chemistry.

I think someone had a vid posted of Mackenzie a while back (it was removed) of her singing "Testify" from the Cactus Gospel Show. I'm not sure if it was her, I don't remember, but I do remember being really impressed with the singer. I have no doubt that the Cactus Cuties will still deliver wonderful performances even with Andi gone.Cami wouldn't have chose Mackenzie if she didn't feel she was a strong singer.

Besides the girls have been friends longer than we know. And nobody is taking Andi's credit but the other three has to move forward and work on whatever fame is left of them.

Mostly coming from the youngest girl's grandfather. I want to know because she was part of the group who made the iconic video. Unless she quit, which she may very well have, she deserved her time in the spotlight just as much as the rest of them. I always felt that she deserved more.

Some people are making Andi feel really bad about leaving the Cuties. You are making Kenzie feeling worse for taking Andi's spot. You are making Cami feel bad for replacing Andi. You are making the Baylee, Blaire and Madeline feeling bad. The first I heard of the Cuties were when they sang at the Texas Tech game when their were 5 of them. Why didn't we get upset when Tatum left? Baylee, Andi, Blaire and Madeline were not the original Cuties, they replaced people also. Greetings Kenzie!!!

@Yuri5571 I agree. And this video just adds to your point. See how Blaire gets the lead? Perhaps Mackenzie didn't replace ANDI, as such. Maybe Mackenzie replaced Blaire, and Blaire took over Andi's role (lead). And so now Mackenzie's now playing the role of floater, and Blaire, the lead. But this won't be proved until a new video comes up, with Blaire as lead again. I don't know. It's just a theory I have.

The group is not the same without Andi, and sure I'm happy for Makenzie, but her talent is nothing compared to Andi's. I know it was a hard choice for Andi to make, but she had to put her family first.

Reading back my comment it does sound rather bitter and selfish. I'm sorry I didn't mean it in that context. I think Cami has handled the Cuties well and I don't think for a second this was easy for any of them or that they owe us anything. The Cuties have always been on a personal level with there fans through their Q & A videos, bts videos, and their website. I'm just surprised the change wasn't mentioned sooner rather then a day prior.

I find it a little disappointing that us fans weren't acknowledged of this change on a more personal level. I think this transition would have worked allot better had we been prepared for the change. Instead of "Surprise! We have a new member!" I can understand not wanting to make a big deal of it but, it is a big deal. I think this could have been handled a little better then what it was. No disrespect to the girls though, as I'm sure they have no hand in the decisions made. They did lovely!

I feel like if they had had longer and done a REAL interview then yes, Andi would have probably been mentioned. Also, they are probably trying hard not to dwell on the fact that she has gone.

@Yuri5571 yes that bothers me too. She should have been more humble about her beginnings. False impressions. But hey, who knows what they are going for. I didn't like this arrangement of the song. I would like to hear an arrangement of this with closed chords instead open. Also, they seem to be straining and singing from their throats, which they often do, but here it is more noticeable. I'd like to hear more head voice in this one. A great performance though and I love Bailey's smooth sound.

@sweetlovin5678 See, that's what I suspected and it makes me see red because the idiot management/ grownups who were making the decision to squeeze little Tatum out had nothing to do with the success of these incredible little girls. It was the iconic video all five of those kids made. It was the performance! I've heard it said that Andi was not at all happy and that she herself made the decision to leave. In my opinion Andi was the backbone of the group and the meddling management killed it.
