This is still my favourite video you have made. It may be due to me having a very deep affection for Cadiar but it is also due to content and the fantastic photographs when you were at the top. The videos when you and Ellie are together are something very special. Thank you JOhnR

How did you get on. I'm a late bloomer myself and a complete change of life style but mountain hiking and Wildcamping has become my new passion. If anyone would have told me that two years ago I would never have believed them.

Great vid. Love Cadair Idris. Lost count of the amount of time I've been and camped up there. Got to be one of my favourite mountains. Keep up the great work.

Ive slept in the hut at the top with my two youngsters. Cooked our food then slept on the wooden benches. We planned to camp but it was too windy. One of the most memorable and perhaps one of the best nights of my life. We then walked down in the morning and did the local park run on saturday morn.

I reached the summit of Cadir Idris for the first time when I was in my mid 50's. Took loads of photos and was also lucky with the weather. Scrambled up Snowdon, Crig Goch in November 2015, followed by Moel Siabod (so lucky with the weather then too) . Love the mountains.

By far the best video so far, it is so much more enjoyable in your 40's. I think everything you said in this video is pretty much how I see these adventures.

It's nice to go all that way Scott and meet either someone interesting or kind folk. Some of the best scenery getting there to. You could see it this time. Wonderful vibe up there Scott. Sacred vibe even. Good that the troubles are over - I was out there for many years with my brother but found life again where you are now. Beautiful and very enjoyable. All the best. Mark Freeedooom!

Just sat through this... Anticipating getting up there ourselves very soon and must say this has been the best video I've come across so far in preparation. I have seen a few of if two feet forwards vids but haven't come across your vids yet. Glad I have. We have been hiking / vlogging for a year or two now, based in South West so mainly Dartmoor but have ventured to Wales and the lake district on a few occasions. We were complete novices, out of our depth, but learning as we go, gaining experience, knocking off summits and loving life. Well, I've subbed now, ticked the bell and look forward to seeing more from your good self soon. Thanks ks for uploading this. Great stuff.

Thanks for a great video. Loved it. How long did it take you to walk from the start to the tarn? We're looking at wild camping but we don't want to get to the tarn too early and have to wait around too long to set up. Thanks in advance and look forward to your new vids

Great video , i empathize with a lot of what your saying Scott , i didn't start my little adventures till i was 48 but probably enjoy them a lot more because of that. I just got that mic , everyone saying the sound is a lot better on my latest vid. I'm looking for a super light 3 season backpacking tent , i want to be able to sit up ( i'm 5ft 9 ) , cook in the porch area with flysheet door shut and it to take quite strong winds .....not summit force winds but 30mph+. Do you think the telemark 2 fits the bill the other tent i'm looking at is the hilleberg Enan ? Thank you Eddie.
@ExplorerBuddies7 жыл бұрын
Thanks Eddie glad i'm not the only person that started my adventures late 🙂 The Telemark 2 is amazing tent at only 900grams and you can sit up in (i'm 6ft) The bonus is that the porch area can be adjusted so you have more space to cook in. Nordisk tested the Telemark 2 upto 39MPH winds and passed (see video here) kzbin.info/www/bejne/bJmufZmwptqXeNE ATB SCott
@ScotsWildcamper7 жыл бұрын
Thanks Scott , i'll give it abit more thought , i think your one is the one to go for , telemark 2 LW i'm guessing , alot more for the ULW and the telemark 1 abit smaller for not much weight saving.Great channel you've got and i'm a big fan of Austin and Lucy.Take care.
@WyeExplorer7 жыл бұрын
The Nordisk is definitely a good bet Eddie. My bro Paul loved his. I agree start getting out even in your late 40's. We lost a lot of years because of the drugs and drink but found the nature again - it was there when we came to. Ha ha!
@ScotsWildcamper7 жыл бұрын
Mark i'm thinking about the Enan or telemark 2 for long backpacking trips , nordisk bigger and cheaper but i suspect the Enan is stronger and i'm maybe just siding on the extra strength at the moment.
@WyeExplorer7 жыл бұрын
I've just checked out the Enan - at 960 grams it's a similar design to the Nordisk. It has a good vestibule also. A good bet...
