Bernard was a comedy legend, there's comedians, and there's Bernard Manning. It's just his appearance, delivery, the accent, it's a full package and that's why he was such a successful standup and never had a bad show.. he was just naturally funny. I often wonder how his act tho would have been received in Las Vegas and USA where he did shows.. because with that heavy Northern accent I think many American's would have struggled a bit with understanding him. Most of his jokes are simple English and fairly easy jokes so I think maybe Americans could get these jokes even with the accent, he doesn't use that much unique British slang in his routines, only occasionally. Any American's care to comment? Is Bernard Manning hard to understand?
