I find people generally hate on the story because they don't understand it. If you, like Caddy, play them in their current "new" order 1.5 -> 2.5 -> 2.8 you'll understand the story fine. It's just a lot to remember.

The story only becomes stupidly complicated or outright shit once it reaches certain games' storylines, such as in DDD and Re:Coded respectively. Overall, it's like MGS' story; kinda easy to understand once played in the proper order, but immensely complicated to try and explain it/played in the wrong order.

depends on how its handled and how it plays into everything.some games that have a worse story on first sight have slight things and more sence in the situration to make them have more impact and potential.like if a game doesnt aim for something greater and thus doesnt really develop itself into its story,but its completely enjoyable and fulfilling,then it can be actually better than something like kh which started off good,but then it went into limbo.i have no idea about MGS4 tho,so i wont say anything against that claim

I think I'm the only person who doesn't hate the KH2 Little Mermaid stage lol. My siblings and I used to go there a lot as a short break from the constant leveling I was putting in (I'm a level up addict, love training in RPGs) and we used to see which one of us were able to get all excellent/perfect on the stages while we sang along to the songs. One of my favorite mini games though is the KH2 gummi ship stages. I HATE the KH1's gummi ship stages but that was because it was less polished than KH2 which was my first KH game.

Final Mix was first released on PS2 and still used synthesized music like the standard game. When it was re-released on the PS3 it shipped with the re-orchestrated music. Also, HEARTLESS battle, not Nobody. It even says it the the corner.

I am playing through the games again in Chrono order in anticipation for KH 3 and going from BBS mechanics to OG KH is not as thrilling as it sounds. Still you are right. They both have merits.

Still my favorite game in the entire series and I agree fuck Atlantica especially in Kingdom Hearts 2. What makes it more hilarious is the fact that in Kingdom Hearts 2 it's entirely pointless there's no real story progression in that world at all you don't even need to touch that....... unless if you're me and you want the best keyblade in the game the Ultima Keyblade. But yeah aside from Atlantica being a horrible level in both games Kingdom Hearts 2 was still a fantastic entry and now that anyone can play Final Mix..... more things to do more bosses and best of all we get to fight Roxas! Oh and also fuck lingering will.

10:14 The final form is actually quite easy to unlock. [SPOILERS] You just need to equip the Two become One keyblade after defeating Roxas, then go to the Underworld Colosseum. Enter the tournament that allows you to use your drive gauge and activate a drive form. If you get Antiform (The one that makes Sora look like a heartless), quit the tournament and re-enter to refill your drive gauge. If you get Final Form, it'll be unlocked forever. It took me about a minute to unlock it this way.

An easier way, is before going any further, cycle between just outside the skyscraper and save point area just after it. each time you re enter the save area, you reset your drive. Also nice for grinding wisdom and valor.

Damn im so happy Caddy enjoyed the story and had fun with the game despite being a bit unsure about the series when he was younger. I would like to encourage you to try to get the lingering will unlocked and try the data battles againts all the organization 13 members. Lingering will makes sense only after you finish birth by sleep but maaaan he is 1 of the hardest battle I have ever played in videogame. Have a fantastic day Caddy!

Correction: It's "it should really be 3" because Days came AFTER this. The DS was released AFTER KH2. unless you mean story wise, then sure. I mean, KH2 originally released in 2005 and Days released in 2009, but this is seriously a prequel to the sequel but not the original.

Oh yeah, here's an extra layer to the Organization's actions that pushes them into a darker shade of gray: by gathering the hearts of people to use for Kingdom Hearts, they're essentially denying those people the chance to regain their humanity, since not everyone can turn into a Nobody unless they're particularly strong of heart.

None of the characters from the the Port Royal world are actually using their movie actors. That's why they sound "off". It's just some other VAs trying to sound like them. Primarily because Orlando Bloom, Johnny Depp, etc. cost millions of dollars lmao As for Scar I really don't know.

Yeah. I wouldn't say Kimgdom Hearts's story is really confusing. Just kinda convaluted. I still love it regardless.

The one thing that pisses me off the most in the little mermaid world was how the button prompts are sometimes moving with characters or objects for me it makes it hard as hell to see

I'd try to explain the issue with the photo, but I'd end up confusing myself. But in my opinion, it was just square's attempt at a light 4th wall break... i think. Think of the digital twilight town as a video game. Photo was an asset linked to Roxas. And nobodies as modders trying to pull the main asset known as Roxas. But only finding linked assets...

Sooooo... did he not even try or know about the lingering will and the organization data battles? He didn't talk about them at all and said that Sephiroth was infamously difficult (which he's really not). Sorry if I'm complaining but yeah it kinda annoyed me.

He mentioned Lingering Will in his Birth By Sleep review, stating something along the lines of him getting his body stolen, possessing his armor, winning and sticking around the Keyblade Graveyard to indiscriminately attack Sora in KH2. He also mentioned being able to fight past Org 13 members as well in this. The only one you seem to be correct about is him saying Sephiroth is difficult but that's a matter of opinion so it's odd to fault that, he's currently impossible to me right now in both games.
