This Caddis Pupa pattern can be tied in various sizes and colours to imitate different species. I fish it various ways (Upstream nymph, swung as part of a team, French leader etc.) and it has proved successful for me and earned a permanent place in my fly box.
Dressing:
Hook: Kamasan B110 or B175 Sizes 10-16
Bead: Black Nickel Tungsten
Thread: Camel 8/0 Uni-Thread
Rib: Green Rainbow Thread
Abdomen: Caddis Green Superfine dubbing
Thorax: Dark Brown Hare-Tron or similar
Hackle/Legs: CDC
