I actually fly on Avatar V2 VTX with V2 camera on 1200mW always and find it great. Range and penetration is exactly like my DJI O3 with Goggles 2 but Avatar V2 image is better. More detail and way better in shadows. Not to mention the fit of Goggles 2 comparing to Walksnail Avatar goggles. Goggles 2 just do not fit bigger european faces. Overall, I am very pleased with Avatar V2 system and decided to sell my DJI gear.

My v2 performs worse than my v1. Do you have multiple v2 that are working good for you?

@@Jeb223 No, I have just one V2 and one V1. I noticed in the begining that antena placment is critical for Avatar VTX. And if your VTX antena is vibrating or moving excessively than the bitrate drops significantly. I am running my V2 on 1200mW, 50 bitrate, Standard framerate, No focusmode. I just got Foxeer Lollipop 4 Plus for both VTX and Goggles and it is even better. For goggles go for 15cm length to have them above your head if you do not want to boil your brain. I kept the oryginal Patch antenas in.

Walksnail asks clients to fiddle with Calibration because it's an unfinished product. DJI' G2 don't fit most faces and the anti-fog fan is a joke. Don't these companies know that 600€ or 660€ is a lot of money?

it does cost a lot of money to produce a goggle for such a small customer base. the same was true of a lambo or ferarri, lots of things didnt work properly and it cost a fortune, but as they were produced in such small numers, they never really worked out the bugs and irritations

Thanks for this. My 1s dropped at ~40mbps instead of 50 once I armed at full power (so 350), but was ok at 200mw... Checked this and value was .1 Changed to 0 Now i get 50mbit when armed at 350mw !

Maybe try positive numbers but use 1000mw instead of 1200mw.

I solved all the avatar firmware issues by not buying that system and just getting dji v2 goggles and O3 air units. Might have gone the other way but the product launch with all the lies from fatshark really just didn't make any sense to bother with all that mess. Orqa still has no digital system and after using HDzero for over a year i found their hardware doesn't take crashes well and the sudden signal loss behind objects cost me 3 quads. IDK why anyone even bothers with the other system but damn they sure will defend their choices to the bitter end.

Weird thing. My VRx and whoop lite boards. I needed -2 to get all my 350mW at higher mbps. At default it drop lower at 350mw then 25mw in my house

Can Caddx/ Walksnail tune the vtx with software to make 1200mW more reliable and usefull or do we need a different vtx to get this to work properly?

this is explained in the video. that vtx just cant do 1200mw without rf noise and heat issues. looks like the real fix would be to just run it at 700mw like it was made for.

You may need to do it again as it can reset. However you simply do the same thing.
