I have the same tea tin in a smaller size! One that would contain perhaps 500 grams (or just over one pound for the non-metric folks.) It was a gift many years ago and it always lives in my kitchen near the kettle with my Earl Grey or Lady Grey teabags inside. It’s a little battered now but no matter. The friend who gave it to me is now passed away and I remember him with fondness every time I make a cup or a pot of tea. ☕️

As much as I love everything about Christmas, the older I get, the more I appreciate the quiet beauty of gratitude, even in this abysmal year. Anyway, Jodie is right. It is a win for those of us who dream. I have never been happier to watch ads three times in a row. Even though I contribute so little, I feel so much pride when sth new is done at the chateau! And I know those of us who cannot be patrons because our jobs have been compromised because of covid, we all feel the same: rooting for you ,jumping for joy every time a part of the chateau is renovated and so on. PS: I am still waiting for the petit salon/office to be painted plum. Please do it!!! I love rich, jewel colours. Good night to all! From a quarantined girl in Greece.

Sending you best wishes from across the other side of the world (Tasmania, Australia). I went backpacking across Europe in my mid 20's, nearly 30 years ago. I loved Greece, and I especially adored the island of Santorini. I remember my first sight of the island from the ferry - I had just woken up from a nap on the open deck and in the distance I could see an island with mountains and SNOW on the top! It took me a few minutes to gather my brain cells together and realise it wasn't snow but lots of little white buildings. That moment of magic comes back to me every time I see something on the television about Greece. I am sending you love and best wishes on the internet. Stay safe.

Oh! Stephanie, I just looove the vintage bag, back in the 80's - 90's I had a beautiful briefcase that was the same leather... and the exact same colour. On a work trip overseas, one of the most charming men I've ever met (he was Dutch...) looked at it and said my boss must be paying me too much! It did look very swish.... Philip you can be proud of the sofa, a very professional finish first time. Lovely Nati always has the gifts organised and knows who sent what, I always enjoy 'Cadeaux at the Chateau' And what a hoot... the ballerina fascinators are perfect for a Lalande soiree! 🏰🦘

Hello from Minneapolis, Minnesota, to Stephanie Jarvis! What a delightful episode this is. I really like this format you've devised, showing the initial openings of gifts, & then revisiting the gifts later, with close-ups & showing how well the gifts are being enjoyed. I know you settled on this format as a way to address technical challenges you faced, but I just want to let you know, it works wonderfully! Perhaps you'll return to this format from time to time, even without facing technical challenges? I hope so! Wishing you & all of the beloved LaLanders much joy! Helo from NYS (Upstate NY) Four hours West of NYC. I am from a Rural area with lovely countrysides. Coconut Chocolate must have been so heavenly! Philip only would drink Tea? He has great restraint. I could not do it. Maybe should not tell this story, as do not want to ruffle 'ancient' feathers, but my husband can trace his family on his mom's side to King Henry the 2nd3rd etc all the way down to himself and siblings and our sons, and grand-children of course. ( we only have two grown sons, no daughters0, When you had mentioned England and France having the love /hate relationship, it made me think to say this. I can say right here and now, we, the countries of France and England are both in a love relationship, and we (my husband and I) proclaim that today and forever! lol * as if we could be the spokespeople* But am sure all is fine. Love how you truly do take the gifts seriously. They are all so great and will be cherished. The crown is so Royal and you Stephanie are just the right person to wear it!! So beautiful on you. He is very talented, with making the painting and this crown and cannot believe all the talent people have in this world! I think this video and all of you are making this world a much nicer place to live! Bringing such love and cheer to us al! With this world going through such a tough time, we need more love and care shown, as you have been showing here. Am so glad you will have Thanksgiving, as we all have something we can be thankful for in our lives and in the lives of all who we share that life within anyway.
