Those old school Cadence amps were no joke. I am sure this one won't disappoint.

Those caps need to be replaced before they leak. Once they leak the board is pretty screwed.

Hated this amp. I used to compete against a guy that had 3 15's running off this amp. He had a cab cut out and a massive box in the bed of his truck. I was running 2 15's off an Orion amp rated 25x2 @ 4ohms. Got pretty loud, but he probably beat me by close to 3-4 db.

I bet i own the Orion you used to run. Is it😢t a 3rd gen 425HCCA Competition/X-over, pop top that when removed, has the crossover chips that can also be used to sum the boatds channels? I think the cards are SLF.

I have a big ugly amp that looks a bit like that. It's an Audiobahn A1300HCT and is a high-current design mono fullrange class A/B amp. Ratings are 300 @ 4, 600 @ 2 and 1200 @ 1, but falls way short, but it is big, heavy, ugly and chrome with stupid flames on it

I’ll actually be posting a video on an audiobahn DUB in a few weeks so watch out for that

you didn't think it's strange that this is one of the few amps that has the board and components face up instead of down like almost every other amp made???
@bdaudio93952 ай бұрын
No not really there are a lot of amps I’ve tested lately that are like this
@keithhaynes53482 ай бұрын
Usually, those amps are considered a bad design. Heat rises, when they face up boards, they also flip the sink, which would hammer that sink. Thats what i thought anyways, but i dont design or work on amps.
