We always come through early - then picnic and rest and go through again this time of evening. The smells and sounds are the best! And the deer are playful in the evening. We love to watch them run and jump in the evening shadows. I love the night sounds on here. So peaceful!

Thank you so much for this beautiful video of Cades Cove. I loved seeing the deer jump over the fence, hearing the bugs, and seeing the beautiful mountains and the sun setting. All of it was just so awesome! Thanks for taking us through the park right before they closed it down for the paving. I'm sure the animal's that live their are really going to enjoy all the traffic not coming through their everyday. Thanks for sharing! Great job!

Beautiful drive! Mindy you did great with the camera. There used to be a raccoon that would always set by the stop sign when it got dark begging for food. That was many years ago.

We absolutely love Cades Cove. It is so beautiful. We always drive through there at least once everytime that we are in the smokies. We are also both members of the Cades Cove Preservation Association. We also have all 7 Voices of Cades Cove videos that documents alot of the history of Cades Cove and features alot of interviews of people who grew up and lived in Cades Cove. So glad thatvyou enjoy a drive back there before they closed the road down. Thanks for taking us all along. The deer 🦌were great to see as well. It is also so beautiful back there.

My ancestors lived in cades cove. Suppose to be buried there. Next time i go I'm going to look for them. Never been. Definitely going next time. To live there must have been close to heaven. Government made them leave.

Use to go to Cades Cove back in the 80's & 90's there were a TON of deer, fields were full of them. There were also alot of groundhogs out there. Now there's sadly only a few deer & not a single groundhog to be seen anywhere. Rangers told me beer ate all the deer LOL. I did see a bear eating one deer years ago, but no way they ate 100's of deer. Deer are much faster than bears. My guess is rangers or visitors killed the deer their selves over the years. As for the groundhogs they must have been poisoned or something.
@billybob-ro6qf3 жыл бұрын
@Im Robin I don't think so. There were a lot of people back in the 80's & 90's about the same amount as there are today & deer seem to be use to people & don't really pay them much attention.

Why do dear always have to eat next to the road and then jump over it? I've seen more deer on the side of the highway this year at night than i ever have. They just run and jump. Dont even look.
