Cadillac CTS Vsport Blow off valve install

In this video I review and show the install process of the Turbo Smart Compact Dual Port Blow Off Valves. This is for my 2014 Cadillac CTS Vsport with the 3.6 TT. Big thanks to the folks @weaponxperformance for their quick replies and help. I managed to find these under parts for the ATS-V. With a little ingenuity I able to successfully install them. Those BOVs are backwards, did you ever correct the install? Got some to put on my vsport and they’re clearly made to vent pressure from the side with the O ring.

Are you using the ATS-V specific BOV's or the universal 34mm TS-0203-1023

Nice video and install. A suggestion for the vacuum line splice, you can use black zip-ties instead os the worm drive clamps.

Great video! I'm doing the flash in morning but I think I'm going to do some Michelin Pilots next. There is very little grip on these run flat Pirellis.

Lee Sanchez thanks for the feedback! I agree. That is going to be my next upgrade. I'm going to go with the Super sports. Then I am going to find someone to make me some down pipes to pair with the Corsa exhaust. Or maybe replace the whole exhaust. Not sure yet.

I can’t believe this video is so old. I hope you still have this KZbin account because I have a question. I say you were making like 16 lbs of boost at one time. I know the stock engine makes about 11 lbs of boost because I have an xts v sport. Did the new bovs give you that extra boost or do you have work done?

Its late but I can answer this - they do not give "extra" boost. These are controlled by a solenoid that uses vacuum. What they can do is prevent leaky plastic stock units from bleeding pressure under boost and they tend to respond faster when commanded to open which improves shift feel.

Lee Sanchez depending on what it goes in for I would. If it's just maintenance then they should have no reason to go looking to see if the car has been flashed. If I had issues with the turbos or drive train then I would flash it back to OEM. So they can't blame the ECU for the failure of the part.

It won't matter. GM has the newer PCMs pretty much fool-proof. You can flash it back but there is still a checksum buried in the PCM/BCM. Basically, once you tune, your power-train warranty goes out the window.

Don't SSleep wrong. Trifecta doesnt use the same tools or methods as everyone else. When you flash back to stock the computers are returned to the state they were in before custom flash. It does not write the master log file that the ecu has been reflashed like other tools do.

Michael Andrews sorry buddy that myth has been busted ask all the owners with trifecta and voided warranties.plus the onstar nanny is recording you max torque pid so if that’s over a stock value your busted. Gm is much smarter then any of these aftermarket companies. Trifecta has been lying to customers for years about this now.

No it is a 50/50 vent/recirculate. It still maintains enough air to avoid a code.

Does your car make a rattle noise from the front end?

John Dale it does have the Wastgate rattle that the dealer says is normal. Cold start ups are embarrassing.

No the rattle is still there.
