Cadillac DTS 2007 crank no start need help in Maine

Check or add a ground from the FRAME to the BLOCK...I had a similar problem on my 2007 dts, so I added a neg battery cable. It seems to have worked, but until I can get it scanned WITHOUT the codes or check engine light, I'm happy with this mod.

I had the same problem in my 2008. Replaced the fuel pump and the rear fuse box complete system. You can do the fuse box first about a 30 minute DIY, don't get ripped off! And that should fix the car to running condition easy!

I’m having the same problem right now, I change the fuel pump, The car was running fine for about a week, now it won’t start…. I just went online and purchased a new fuse box hopefully that’ll fix the problem.

This car does not have the same problem!!! Can’t you hear the sounds that the engine makes when it is cranking?! It is blowing air back up through the intake, which means the valves are way off timing!!!!

Just to f/u. My mechanic couldn't find anything wrong! He restarted the computer? Idk but it drives awesome. The previous msg is awhile so...driving great. Any input appreciated

A lot of knowledge I have no idea but appreciate your input. Mu 2006 caddy same thing. Once cranked battery drops to 12.9. Mechanic has it. Battery good. Bad starter? Idk.ill let you know!

I have the same year but mines wouldn't start and I had to change my crankshaft sensor which is located under the intake manifold

There is also a crank run electronic switch box under your dash on your steering column. When you turn your key it activates this switch. If the connectors are burnt it will give you the same results.

I have a dis 2006 and the battery fully charged and everything works but when I turn the key it won't crank or even start but all the lights come on what am I doing wrong thanks

Sound like a crank sensor then it’s common with caddy’s everybody caddy crank sensors be Messing up

Was it starting on the 2nd-3rd crank? That's what happening to mine and I put a new starter, new battery, new ignition coil n ignition lock.

I got a 2006 Dts, it does the same thing. When I have my foot on the gas it starts up but it won't stay running. I look at the fuse box and it looked good. I replaced the fuel pump. I don't know what else to do

It was my fuel pump relay .. pump it also told me it was my fuel pump.

Had similar problem fuel pump fuse was good but fuel pump relay was toast, replaced it and problem was solved.

Timing chains! It’s out of time! That sucking sound means the valves are open on the compression stroke.

So, when trying to start the car if I disconnect the air intake hose it feels like pressure pushing out instead of air being dragged in. And smells a lot of gasoline. The timing chain is off? I have the same problem

Mario Waller i found one for my dts 06 from orielly auto parts for i believe 300 but youll need to have it programmed to ur vin number and the ecm is your Engine Control Module

I figured out the spark issued a coil was Badd and I had weak ground now I'm having an issue getting fuel do you know which side of the coil that the condense a suppressor connects to

You need a new computer the main brain to the car because I am going through the same thing and my mechanic told me that is my ECU
