I'm planning on swapping a mercedes om606 with mechanical injection with a 2012 ford 6r80 automatic in my 1970 ford maverick. engine weighs about as much as a ford 302, the transmission weighs more than double the original c4 though lol. Its a NA om606 i'd love to get better internals and do the necessary mods to make more power, I think I might just try to get it in the car and running, ill need to replace the floorpan/transmision tunnel and mess around with the transmission tuning once its all together. I kinda think naturally aspirated with a big side pipe would look and sound cool on my 70 maverick too. maybe get a pyrometer and crank the pump up as much as i can.

Kudos to you for doing the wiring modifications, nice project. Too bad the stupid salt Ontario spreads on the roads with pleasure has taken a toll, vinyl tops are a car killer for sure. Also, being from Ontario myself, our classics, not used in winter, get Fluid Filmed and professionally sprayed with Corrosion Free to keep any possible crap left on the roads from doing the dirty deed. I see this video is 2-years old, is the car still around? An uncle had a 1984 as well, but in a sort of copper color, it was a very plush car, going back many years.

This is great. How does the power compare to the ht4100? A 6.2 diesel would have also been a great option

Overall the 4100 is faster, but leisurely driving you don't feel much of a difference, only when you floor it.

105 Cow power/ 205 ft-lbs. In other words slower than Fat Joe running a marathon :)
