Hey everyone! Here's a RARE & yet special treat! This video happens to be the VERY first produced by Railway Productions in 1986 by founding producer: Les Jarrett. Shot on 32mm film with sound, this video features Norfolk & Western 611 on two NS steam excursions in June of 1985 & 1986. First it features the 2nd & 3rd days of The 1985 Independence Limited in late June running from Kansas City, Missouri to Detroit, Michigan over Wabash & Michigan Central railroads to part of the routes of The Wabash Cannonball & Detroit Arrow passenger trains. Then finally, in June of 1986, it features 611 on a 2 day excursion trip from Atlanta, Georgia to Chattanooga, Tennessee over the former Southern Railway. This video has complete coverage of both trips from trackside to pacing on the highway, onboard the train & in the cab of the 611 with veteran N&W steam engineer Frank Collins before retiring from the NS steam team. Les Jarrett, in case you don't remember your very first train video made for Railway Productions, this IS IT. Enjoy! This program is only 30 minutes BTW!
