Love Bob & Love Brad. Always compassionate and enlightening to so many! Sharing so much and something new each day. What a fabulous wheelchair! That would be a God send for someone needing one.

I used to work in long term care and this is a fantastic wheelchair from what I can tell. However many elderly become incontinent. This looks like it can be wiped off easily, but over time it may harbor odors. It’s a catch 22 problem. If the material is completely water proof so that it can be disinfected it will not breathe and the patient will become uncomfortable. If the material is made to breathe, it most likely will not be easily cleaned and disinfected. Is there a material that can be used on these wheelchairs that is both beneficial to the patient and easily cleaned? Another question I have, do the “legs” lock into place when folded inward so they are out of the way enough for the patient to transfer?

Have you or would you ever do a personal Q&A? I have always wonder how all this started, what your families think and how many people come into the office to meet the most famous physical therapists on the internet. Also - any crazy fan stories? Lol

I've got a disabled, special needs kiddo, and I've seen more chairs than I would ever care to - and I have to admit, this one actually looks interesting! I guess I'll have to go check out their specs and see if it's transport safe, how it may break down to put into a trunk, and any options. The push bar on the back alone I would think should be an available option in EVERY chair, but sadly it isn't - and I hate that. Thanks guys.

I might sound this chair out with my family. My Gran has one of those horrible clunky, not very comfortable over long distances, red cross charity type chairs. She currently uses it for trundling around on short journeys, or she's using one of the most lightweight basic 3 wheeler rollators money can buy, but nothing, is comfortable for her when she's sitting for fairly long periods of time when she's out for a meal, visiting friends or family, in fact, she only just made it to 4 hours when we were round my mum's for a barbecue 3 weeks back for my cousins' birthdays. On this occasion, mum had erected a big nest of cushions on the chair where she would sit up at the table. She has the adjustable bed where the top and bottom ends go up and down, frames in two of their 3 toilets round the house so she has arm rests or handles either side if she needs to hold on there, she had a perching stool thingy in the kitchen so she could use it for light cooking, making drinks Etc, for a short time, but she seems to have given up on that too. I'm hoping something like this Broda chair cracks it for her. You didn't go into whether it folds up small for easy transportation, although, my mum and Grandad both drive estate cars, so transporting such a chair would hopefully not be too big a problem.
