Cadillac SRX 2010 starting issues

Brought this car and it was running fine when I took it home, a month later it started doing this. Took it to the dealership they said it was the battery now it's happening again can anybody give any helpful information? And the battery in my remote are new as well.

If you remove the fuse box to change the light bulbs you have to make sure the 3 bolts with the green ring around them are completely tightened. They are for grounding the whole electrical system and if you can still spin those bolts, it's not tightened enough. I just removed the fuse box cover to give me just enough access to the headlight housing and was able to change the bulb through that tight space. It's a tight fit but dealing with that fuse box was a PITA.

Its your fusible links on top of the battery. If one is loose or broken inside the black covers with the amps numbers on it. You may have to change the whole board out. Everything ties to it the starter lights in the dash and transmission

I had to do some body work on one that was in an accident. I can't get the driver side window to work, back up camera won't work, nor does the air work. The radio works but the screen is flickering. Also, the radio doesn't cut off when door is opened when the car is off. I've taken it to the dealer and another mechanic shop. They can't figure it out.

Resolved problem. It’s your fuse box battery terminal.

Just had a no starting problem 3 hold down bolts in the fuse box next to the battery where loose. Tightened them down and fired right up Also cleaned battery post

was a starter/no crank problem? or did the starter crank but the engine would not start?

please if anyone is still dealing with this issue reprogram your key. my sister's same vehicle was having this issue, all we did was reprogram the key and it started right up.

My mechanic didn't mention anything about programming the key fob, when he worked on my car. 2012 SRX Luxury Edit. Mmmm he did mention the lose bolts of my fuse box. But I already knew about that, because I left them like that. In my situation I don't think that the fuse box didn't play a role with the car not starting, because the car didn't want to start before I attempted to removed the Fuse Box.

Mine will not start. Everthing lights up but says service stablitrak. So fed up with my 2010 Cadillac Srx, been having problems with it since I purchased it. Trunk won't open, key fob won't start truck. Just been nothing but a headache, was told it was my timing chain was bad but took it to someone else and was told that it wasn't the timing chain. I need a good reliable mechanic!

Dakkia Bradshaw well sometimes it may be the battery. You may need a new car battery. We have had Cadillacs for years and when they start acting weird or won't start it's usually the battery that needs replace. We have a 2006 sts v8 awd and it would act possessed then we got the battery replaced and it was fine. Then our 2011 cts v said service stabilitrack and the engine light was on. It was another bad battery. The dealer couldn't find anything wrong. We told them replace the battery and no problems ever since. Sometimes it's just these Cadillacs get goofy with bad batteries

Don't try to put a replacement car battery in yourself. I tried and then lost the program on the fob. They can't fix this piece of junk without towing it to a Cadillac dealer$hip. SOL !

my friend mechanic found.the answer to it thank.god. i didnt pay no $1500 it was just a lose bolt that wasn't screw back all the way down basically wasn't making contact with ground

I replaced my two day time running lightbulbs (DTR) in my SRX 2012 and I got the same problem. The car wouldn't start for shit. The same lights like in your video will turn on, meaning , one in the back and one in the front will flash as I press the alarm button. I replaced the battery with a brand new one. the problem still persisted (the car wouldn't start) so I gave up. The vehicle was towed to the mechanic. he found the issue but the way he explained to me wasn't quite clear. Until this day, still I don't know what the fuck happened to the car. Still, it is running now but no dings will sound when I open doors and the lights are completely uneven I can barely see on a dark road. When I drive with my bright lights on people will give me the change of lights signal right of way, meaning your brights are on. And yes, this is all happen before I attempt to removed the Fuse Box. So the fuse box bolts were loose as if they wouldn't want to screwed in. I left it like that. The mechanic got them tide again and he said that leaving the bolts lose like that it creates a ground fault in the car. But, like I said; regardless, the starting problem happen way before I attempted to removed the fuse box. See, in order to replaced the driver side light bulb it is highly recommended to removed the fuse box. Also, I recognized my mistake of not to removed the negative post of the battery, as it is recommended that when working with electricity in the car the one battery post must be removed. Oh well. After $460.00 I got my car back (up and running) but not @ 100%. I'm very disappointed with my low beam (DTR lights) headlights. :-(

I had the work done at a stereo shop in Chicago. A place called Armando Sounds [phone]. I paid 260.00. Very honest guys. If you are from out of town I’m sure they will give you the info as to what bulbs they used. Trust me you will not regret getting LED lights. I was at the point of trading my Cadillac in because of how frustrated i was.

Damn I hope whoever you took it too didn't take advantage of you. It doesn't sound like that module has the ability to cause all of your dash and center console not to function when it goes bad. The only thing that links them all together is the fuse box so it could have just been that one of the bolts in the fuse boxwas already loose when you had the car and just got worse over time. So it sounds like they might have charged you 1500 to tighten a bolt.

I just bought a 2011 SRX.... acting just like the video SRX lock issues.....it’s a nightmare, I’ve had it towed 3 times in 21 days of owning it. HELP! The dealership couldn’t even fix it when I took it last week.
