Hard to believe this car is 22 years old. A 1976 Cadillac looked much older in 1998 than this car does now.

It was amazing at its time. If it was rear wheel drive people would have loved this car.

Great upload on one of my favorite cars of the modern era 1996-2018+, always wanted one finally got one and its everything i thought it was. Fast great looking and it is reliable as long as it was taken care of these cars have technology that cars few years back just got, Cadillac always sets a pace for others to follow for the future. Timeless car either SLS or STS.

Great! Thanks for the upload. My family has owned Cadillac's for a long time and the Seville next to the Eldorado was always one of our favorite for the modern day Cadillac. The 1992 Seville was a huge leap forward for Cadillac when it was new. But the Seville for 1998 was even more improved overall and it shows. We still have our Seville's including my black 2000 STS just like in this video. Definitely one of the best cars built in America hand down.

Unfortunately you don’t really see these on the road anymore or on auction sites. The BMW e39 body style 5 series which was produced at the same time is fetching high dollars on Bring-a-Trailer and Cars&Bids while these STS Cadillacs are nowhere to be found.

2:03 it selects the perfect higher gears? It was a 4 speed, it selects the next gear like any other transmission, that what transmissions are supposed to do lol. I miss my Seville though it was a really nice car for it's time. I had a 98. Years later I bought a 07 lucerne cxs with the northstar. Basically the same car

To everyone in the comments, what do you think of the new Cadillac CT5 and CT5 V Series? Cadillac made decision to lower the price of the CT5 (relative to the last gen CTS) as a move that will help the brand grow sales in the long run. Although the last gen CTS pushed the bar in terms of luxury, the sales were lack-luster because they priced in direct competition with the German brands. The base 3rd gen CTS started at $47k and the V Sport started at over $60k. Now the base CT5 starts at $37k and the V Series at $47k. People have gripes about the interior not being as luxurious as they'd like but I do believe that it's reflected in the price so ultimately the value is there. And even tho they dropped the HP from 420 (CTS V Sport) to 360 (CT5 V) it makes more sense as a daily driver.
