After seing this video i bought the diod and replaced it and it worked. Dealer asked for 1300 for the headlight and labor thank you for sharing this video saved me alot of money

People come on and learn ND never let us know if it worked.. Listen this was the best ever...I'm no mechanic and it took him less than 30min. The wait for the part was the hardest thing

Thank you. I originally bought an Amazon part $29. I compared before I disassembled and could see the Amazon part was not going to fit. I bought the GM part from RockAuto $62, quality part made in Germany with GM part number. Also the torx head is a size 20. I used drive on ramps to get the front up. After that it was pretty straight forward. Take out the part, then disconnect. Easier

On the driver side did you have to remove the washer fluid reservoir

Pull out the neck funnel it comes out not the whole reservoir sorry for late response

Is that the same as the DRL Module? i recently bought new LED DRL, after a few months they would flicker on the left side, and then eventually gave out, next the right would flicker and as well gave out soon after, so I know it ain’t bad bulbs given the fact they were both working fine, and then slowly died away/ that tells me something in the wire department might need a tweaking, am I correct? Where should I start? I got told a Module, now I see this Diode, I’m going to have a look. Ps I paid $330 just to waste away…

I would start with the cheapest part to replace , it sounds like a bad module to me but I am not sure , mine just died it did not flicker!

Hi. Do you think this would work for a 2019 xt5? My driver side DRLs aren't working. Is it use a diode as well?

I bought one the diodes. Turns out that diode ran only the 6 inch portion at the bottom. So what operates the longer portion of led lighting? Are relays or fuses involved?

@johnnyirizarry1276 did you find a module that fixed the LED blades on the side of the headlight of your CTS? I have a 2014 CTS with this issue and am trying to find a solution that does not require the entire headlamp being replaced. Seems extremely wasteful otherwise.

@davidjwood9468 I went on ebay and bought the day time running light module there. Yes! The mechanic put it in and it worked. Cadillac wanted me to replace the hole head light assembly for the left side.
