For me, the moment DRX came back from a 0-2 vs EDG after that dramatic inhibiter accident is when DRX proved that they are worthy to be the champions of the year. I can think of many teams who were simply 'stronger' than this team, but I can't think of any other team who can just act like nothing happened and make a reverse sweep after THAT kind of a lose.

I think DRX is a rare occasion of a team that had great strengths in the coaching staff. Showing these speeches and all that stuff finally gives us a glimpse what coaches can do for a team. Usually we can only guess, but here we have legit proof and it makes me really happy!

@@zZzabi its not season 3. 1 or 2 players dont carry teams anymore. everybody has a role to play and those can change depending on the meta. what is most important is all being on the same page allocating resources correctly and being a well oiled machine.

​@@greb1527Nah bro what are you talking about? This narrative bs aint true at all. Kingen and Zeka gapped Faker and Zeus very hard. Guma and Keria were significantly better than BeryL and Deft, but the gap in sololanes was just too big. DRX didn't play good league at all half the time. They even said so themselves. It's just that their opponents were even worse and choked under pressure. And with T1 it's proven that they are big time chokers. This years MSI especially showed that very well.

@@chusay7006 they gapped because drx had a better read on the meta and therefore gave drafting and in game resources to them. Ofc guma will look better than deft because t1 played for botlane whereas drx played for other members since that was the correct read at the time.

DRX was a team that fell really hard unto each other when things got tough. Like the harder things got for them, the closer they became and at some point it made them unstoppable. And they definitely deserved to win.

I feel like the reason why DRXs run was the best run ever was because they were never clearly stronger than any team. Like T1 or Damwon was literally stomping everyone when they won worlds so everyone kinda knew they were the favourites but DRX throughout the whole run felt like underdogs winning dramatically.
