FNC, actually not that bad, but the gap between them and the actual good teams, RNG GRF(not at worlds somehow) and of course KT is monstrous... TPA, werent doing too bad coming into worlds, but Frost and Moscow5 were on a different level, even WE who chocked vs CLG.EU (Froggens team) was considered much better. G2, well the hole SKT G2 and FPX triangle of who beats who... they clearly were on a role altho things worked out well for them, no GRF no IG just baby Damwon and skilled but uncoordinated SKT... if they were in FNC position they be out in Quarters. EDG, this one is close but GenG in my eyes was better then them, T1 who closely lost to DK was at that point statwise by far the best team at the event, and we saw the DK choke fest at the end... they were great but closely not the best; SN, well DK was a clearly the top dog, but TES and JDG were just falling apart after being clearly the very best during both regular splits, and GenG we know how they do... SSG (s6), not 2. best but clearly 3. best team - went to 5 games but mostly cause they were underestimated, since they had an easy road to finals (C9 and H2K) but Tigers are just clearly the 2. best at this point in time. so "fraud 2. place" but the least offensive.

IMO He conceptualised LEARNING and progressing at things, obviously in this case League, but you can apply the same to anything if you want to get better. I feel like the progression of the game has been monumentally fast forwarded through him being there, the amount of times he literally forced Riot to change the game balance completely by himself (just think about Ryze reworks LOL) is incredible, imagine without Faker we could be starting the Season 8 Meta Era just now for example. Just the basic concept of how to learn and get better at stuff, throughout his stream people could and still can actually follow the train of thought and how he overcomes problems. He taught me to go out of my comfort zone for real, try unusual things and accept and appreciate mistakes you make, see them for what they are and learn from them. The phrase he says with the "not swimming against the tides, going with it and adapting/learning from it" is actually so insane how much it fits him and that's not only since recently, I remember feeling this way back in 2014/2015 already while watching his korean stream on Azubu not understanding a word him or anyone in Chat said.
