Amazing to think Micah is such a elite athlete in multiple sports, got to see him wrestle for years when he was younger living in Harrisburg and watching him on the football field was a experience the saying "looks like a men playing against boys" couldn't be more accurate

Did a little research on this and I'm not positive I have the dates correct but if Parsons was going to try out his freshman season that would have been in 2018-2019. He weighed 235 coming out of high school so he would have been at 197 or heavy weight. Penn State had National champ Bo Nickal at 197 and national champ Anthony Cassar at heavyweight. Parsons may have been really good in 8th grade but he wouldn't stand a chance against either Nickal or Cassar. As others have said Cael was being polite.

I appreciate that he was respectful to the football team and didn’t let him follow through with it. Micah could have gotten hurt and that wouldn’t have sat well with the football coach
@richjames52332 жыл бұрын
Cael just wants to say it but doesn’t want to say it. “You got no shot at Makin this team” lol not only did those guys wrestle past the 8th grade… They was the best of the best in America 🇺🇸. It would only take a few takedowns n you’d learn real quick.

He was a gentleman about it. He wanted to say yeah he’s a freak athlete, and I know 100 17 year old that would kill him.

Ok, he's a huge strong fast athletic guy, he wouldn't be any good to actually compete but would it feasible to allow him in wrestling room for drills and conditioning > it would dramatically improve his football abilities perhaps ? Agility ? Change of direction, improve low center of gravity

Wrestling won’t dramatically improve his football abilities. He already has all the athletic ability furthering his knowledge of the game and high level football coaching will help most. Sure wrestling could help a little if he did it everyday but he would miss out on other things and it would not be optimal.
@JohnWilliams-jr3xp2 жыл бұрын
Robert Quinn, Chandler Jones, Ray Lewis are some all pro players that wrestled and played football. I'm sure there's more. Also, him being huge strong, and athletic is all the more reason for him to wrestle!

@@lilchappa9209 a double leg in football is the same as perfect form tackle btw. U don't have to drop to a knee to perform a double leg with leg drive. definatly would improve a defenders tackling but a rubbing back is more about improving toughness, grit, explosion, balance nd most of all conditioning. It doesn't hurt if he went to a couple practices a week during the off season to train

Parsons would dominate the world of wrestling- maybe not as much as Gable Steveson but it wouldn't be that far apart. Parsons is an elite NFL linebacker who defeated Hill and other fast NFL players in the 40. That is unheard of. I think two or three years under Cael and Parsons is best heavyweight in US after Gable goes to WWE.
