This was strange this year.. Similar to last year in terms of pricing, but not much to choose from. They didn’t have the Michters 10 bourbon like they showed here. I was also about 20 in line and I got the last Stagg jr and they were already out of 107 and 12.. Seems like they had very limited bottles. Sucks for the people behind me were left with only secondary priced bottles and had been there since 6:30 am

Playing single barrel roulette with the King makes me weary. Reviews of the ‘24 WLW drinking hot and not beating GTS aren’t making my decision any easier.

We don't have new riff in my state 😥. BTW redwood empire is one of my favorites of all time.... if you can grab a haystack needle single barrel. Absolutely amazing. Longest finish I have ever had. Pipe dream cask strength is my go too

​​​ the one I have is 72% corn 18% rye 5% wheat and 5% malted barley straight bourbon whiskey. Fist time it's 100% redwood distillate "Or so i am told"and it's 8 years old. Absolutely fantastic and bright red fruit forward, apple and cherry for days

These are just to name a few. There are more in Maryville TN and Alcoa Tn that are good.

I think tequila and rum will be the next bourbon. Both markets are growing so fast. Tequila has grown alot in popularity especially in the US and you can pick up a high proof rum if you look around for a fantastic price. So i reckon both markets will be wildely popular in the next 5-10 years

@MichaelVeldman-d4e I like that we have options, not just one. If you want to camp you can camp of you want to be in a club or spend all your money at one place. Contrary to popular belief I don't spend a grand a year at one store to be able to by an allocated bottle. I like that I can put in a little sweat equity and get a good bottle

Vintage near Nashville has the best system I’ve seen. 1 point per store picks and sometimes there’s a promo of double points. Then they base allocation selection on who has the most points. That way their most loyal customers get the best bottles. I feel stores that do a line get a ton of one-time customers. They aren’t maximizing their total sales for the year the year. I did a line for an antique 107 store picks. I didn’t see a single person buy anything else from the store. That’s a missed opportunity.

Me and sone other guys showed up early night before, looked at prices and all of us left. Prices were outrageous imo In fact, went to another store that night and picked up Michters 10 yo Rye for almost same price as on Caesars list.
