@TimKennedyMMA, I want to make sure you see this, but you looked so much like Jake McNiece once you had the paint on that my response was, that is epic. Additionally I'll be honest, your description at the beginning made me cry. I had thought about parts of it but hadn't made the 2nd or third order connections. It crushed me once they clicked. Thank all of you for this. Normandy remains on my places I shall go before I die list.

I was already emotional when you were talking on the beach, but when you reenlisted and took the oath right there, it reminded me of watching my son take the oath and of taking it myself. Those are powerful and meaningful words and I am so glad to see you once again show the world what it means to be an American soldier. Congratulations and a non-ironic HOOAH!

I can't wait for the day I have the opportunity to stand on the beaches of Normandy to give my thanks and prayers to our elders of the Greatest Generation 🙏. It would all be so surreal and without a doubt emotional taking in the water, sand and cliffs that our men fought through the torrential heavy and light machine gun fire and indirect fire of the Nazi pushing forward no matter what as it was the only option. God Bless the men & women of the Greatest Generation who sacrificed everything to bring freedom and safety to complete strangers while ensuring the defeat of fascism.

My father became good friends with a man who was part of the invasion. I had the honor of talking to him. He told me as he hit the water and headed up the beach, his comrades were getting hit all around him. When he got to the “safe” spot, he checked himself and couldn’t believe he wasn’t hit at all. He said, “God was watching over me that day.” I can’t begin to express the emotions I felt watching this and remembering his story. Thank you for the reminder. “Freedom truly isn’t free…”

Thanks for this I really appreciate what all of these guys went through and all of the veterans that I knew from the Spanish American War to Vietnam never really spoke about anything to do with their military experience unless they something happened to have them just tell us a little bit of something that related to something that was happening right then. We didn’t have any real support for or combat veterans from those eras other than to drink it away, so we missed out on a lot of history through there experiences that they never really spoke about. All of the current generations of kids need to know about the sacrifices that others made to protect their freedoms. I really truly appreciate you guys sharing this information with all of us and as always I have to give thanks to all of our veterans and especially to Mat Best, Rocco Vargas, Justen Taylor, Heather Lynn and everyone who made Article 15 Clothing into what it was so that with Evans enthusiasm that it could become Black Rifle Coffee Company and be able to afford to make these excellent videos to get the stories of veterans out there. Thanks to everyone with BRCC and their supporters.

"But when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new Guards for their future security." This statement was written in in a document that was ratified 4 July 1776. On June 6 1944 the world saw first hand why it was in our founding document and what we were willing to do as a country. Though the greatest generation is all but gone there is still the greatest of all generations who have signed up and continue to sign up to fight for freedom. It has been almost 20 years since I was in Iraq I saw first hand that we didn't need all of my generation to fight but the best of my generation was goddamn impressive. CURAHEE
