Cafe Racer (BMW K 1100 LT by David de Macedo and Laurent Vincent)

This video, is about one of the most original BMW from K Series I saw during recent years.
Not only because it has a unique approach with rounded lines, but also because it has one of the most beautiful petrol tanks I have ever saw, in a BMW K Series.
This beautiful BMW K 1100 LT Cafe Racer, was built in France by David de Macedo, and Laurent Vincent.
Another interesting detail, is the fact that they are not professional Custom builders, which turns this project even more interesting.

Reinventing the square or the circle? It is like placing a shoe box inside a balloon and even more make the balloon fly perfectly. The mix of a BMW K with and a Triumph Thruxton sounds like mixing French wine with German beer and still adding a touch of whiskey and yet dedication, passion, talent and ingenuity made it all taste great and much more. Everything is in place to blow the imagination and the possibilities of building something great in a difficult and ugly motorcycle, but with a golden square heart. I can only say I like it!

This bike you guys is really the most perfect bmw caferacr i have ever seen! The way from the tank until the seat and the rear really beutiful. I like the perfect line that you created. The perfect paint👍👍👍 Nothing to is mutch its just perfect. In a few months i am going to try to do what you folks did. I am a noob and that would be then my first build. Is there someway that you could give me some advice with the welding you did concerning the frame. The tank is a piece of art and i like to now a little bit more about it. Finally a bike that looks fully balanced in its appearance YAY ! All bikes should have a rear fender otherwise it looks completely out of proportion, not to mention it’s un rideable in inclement weather.

I can't stand BMW Twin Cylinder Engines, that design too me looks bloody horrible but the "K Series " engine is a Peach of a design. This Cafe K1100 is a design Triumph, it is beautiful & the sound of that Motor is just perfect. Well done to the builders 👍
