Hey everyone, working on the Honda CB750. Today, we are switching out the fork and replacing it with a 2012 Yamaha R6 Fork.

Its called a Bearing Race. Greeat video, thank you. I just got a 1981ish CB750f, barn find. Cant wait to start building. It'll be my first road bike. But I've been on 2 wheels my whole life.

Sorry for the extremely late reply. Thanks for clarifying that for me! I’ve been posting a lot and have other things in the works. Keep yourself posted!!!!!

I've recently done this front end conversion and I suggest you test fit your fuel tank before you paint it. My forks hit my tank and don't give me a very good range of motion. I either have to move my tank or pound reliefs into the front for fork clearance.

Do you think about adding a riser on the steering stop?

Hey! Awesome video. I see a lot of people do fork swaps on their CB750 with either R6 forks or forks off a GSXR. Is there a particular reason you chose the R6 forks over a GSXR set?

To be honest, it's what was available for a decent price. I did want the gold forks, so that was important to me. But, I feel like most of the forks are going to be pretty similar.

@@zsgarage2021 I see! That's fair and makes total sense. Thank you for your response. I've got one of these conversions in my crosshairs and trying to learn everything i can before i pull the trigger on it. In a sea of sport bikes, bikes like these really speak to me. Never liked sport bikes but love that you can take these old bikes and swap in parts from modern sport bikes for increased performance and safety.

@@europeanlegend9347 it’s not too bad. I have a more recent video in a form swap. Take your time and go for it!

I guess at some point you realized the R6r steering stem has to get pressed out the opposite direction you were trying to do it? Perhaps you can show the viewers how you actually got the OEM stem out of the lower triple clamp?

Forgot to respond to you. I used a stem from another bike and would tap it. Didn’t tap it hard, but fast with lighter strokes. I posted another video on my other build, talking about it.

Can you confirm that the CB900F and CB750K rearset bolt up are the same? Sadly, The only option for a rear set kit on Cognito close to the CB900F is the CB750K.

I’ve never owned a CB900F. Call cognitive Moro. They are great about answering any questions you have.

cognitomoto.com/search?type=product&q=cb750+stem I highly suggest potentially buying the triple treees as well from cognito moto. Call then and they’ll help you with rake and what not,

well christ you were having problems knocking that stem out because you not only swing that thing like an old wash woman but it aint even a real hammer. just saying.

It’s hard when my frame isn’t really locked in place and it wobbles. I got it out with heat and a hammer. Video coming soon.
