I picked the WORST first repair project...

What at first appeared to be a fun electronics project turned out to be a sort of nightmare. Then again, what could I expect, I've never repaired anything in my life!

You know, it might just be a blown fuse.. that is frequent issue on DS systems. A tiny little blown fuse can stop the console from turning on, it happened to me on my DS lite repairs 😅

I remember my first attempt at an electronic repair. My mom had a first gen iPod that I dropped down the stairs when I was 10, and since I also liked using that iPod, I tried to plug the cables and everything back in myself, as the whole thing broke apart into three pieces. Miraculously, I managed to get it to turn on and display an error screen. The fact that I even managed that at 10 years old amazes me still

i have dabbled into New 3ds XL repair not long ago and its similarly tedious, especially the hinge piece but yeah it's interesting to see what's inside these systems and how they function

Reminds me when I built my first computer but it didn't turn on and it could have been as simple as a unproperly fitted RAM stick, but I put it away for almost a whole year and eventually bought the same computer I'd made but at least this time I knew enough to remove the extra RAM for my new PC, and now I got an even better PC gave my old one to my mom and kept the extra RAM, while also transfering my hard drives and installing a new one for my mom. Now I know enough to work on computer hardware and soft problem solve different things I'd never understand if I hadn't attempted and failed to put together my first PC.
