I grew up watching Starsky & Hutch on TV in the 1970's...great show but I thought movie wasn't very good, it was played as a comedy and the TV show wasn't (although it had funny moments). In fact, the best moment for me was at the end when the car gets delivered to them (if you've seen the movie, you'll know the moment). I remember this song in the charts.

@@descendantoffools9767 Also in the 1970's, you may know if you're in the UK that the comedy duo Morecambe & Wise did a parody of the opening sequence calling it 'Starkers & Crutch'. Hilarious and their car is a red mini with a white stripe :). I think it's on YT somewhere.

David Soul is better known as an actor in the 1970s TV series of Starsky and Hutch.

He sang before he acted. Smh.

This and Silver Lady were the 2 No.1 hits he achieved in the UK, back in '76 and '77. Not bad for a self-professed actor! Other singles were, 'Going In With My Eyes Open', which got to No.2, 'Let's Have A Quiet Night In', No.8, and, 'It Sure Brings Out The Love In Your Eyes', No.12 in the UK charts over the next couple of years.

@@gigantor62 and he produced 2 albums while filming the show ,plus many TV movie of the weeks including ,"The Stick Up " "Little Ladies of the night"& many others. the man had fantastic energy and Talent -He just re-released a 3 disc CD Pac which has a newer version Of "Don't Give Up" his band included Andy Kulberg and Norton Buffalo-he toured the college circuit in his 20's as a singer backing The Byrds" , & other prominent groups-he is NO ONE HIT WONDER but he is a wonder!
