You are a wizard. The last set black & silver caught the eye : )

Thank you mate, That was the easiest set to make, My friend Braden, (the guy I mentioned in this video) said I could use some rubber washer between the other ones to help with vibration so I thought that was a great idea too.

@@CafeRacerGarage great idea with the rubber inserts..... he's a clever cookie :-) would be good to also throw some knurling on the larger washes to give that little bit extra grip, the look of them is really good, definitely an eye catcher!!

@@andypandy. I think I would need to somehow stop them from spinning if I was to knurl them but It could be done

Making parts for your bike is the greatest thing ever. I don't have a lathe but I do have a mill and I just spent the last two days making stuff for my bike.

Great timing again Dan .. glad your getting in some practice on the lathe , not bad choices on designs from a sort of normal knurled to the washered and the chain links , that ones different . All good on the bike . Have a great week mate

As a general rule of thumb you want to grab the cutting tool almost as short as possible in the tool holder. You have some real nice skills.

Another great one Dan. The last set look the best from where I'm sitting. Only thing is the hanger looks odd with all of them, maybe if the hanger was a bit chunky/beefy that might make a difference. Are you going to dress the gear shifter and brake lever too? Good news is that you've time to build something before the photo shoot, lol
@CafeRacerGarage3 жыл бұрын
Thank you mate yes I could keep working on this bike for a long time but I need to give the other bikes some time as well. A tank strap/Rack is something I had planned for this bike as well at some point

@@CafeRacerGarage That's the thing with these projects, they continue to evolve and there is always something else you could do. I can't begin to imagine what stress/pressure I would feel with multiple projects on the go, let alone the pressure to record everything and get regular videos out, oh and finding time to work, eat, sleep and have a beer with your mates. You're doing an awesome job mate, take my hat off to ya. I think this one would look great with a rack - no pressure lol.

Interesting idea with the chain link , i think the first two looked too shiny to match the bike , maybe if they were blued or anodised they could match a little better . Just my 2 cents worth. Cheers 4 sharing sir.
