Awesome foot pegs! don't forget some little grommets or seething over the wires, don't want the wires to rub and cause a short.

Would have been really nice if you had fitted them to the bike and marked out the light position so it was pointing straight back instead of downward when the pegs are down. Cool concept though.
@dc72903 жыл бұрын
Agree on the concept, excellent idea. Being rear pegs don’t have to have that slant angle as do with front pegs as they grind on the road, couldn’t the frame brackets be realigned to a vertical position (90deg to ground). Then the peg angle will be more vertical allowing a more clear view to drivers/riders behind.

And the single wire taillight option in the m.unit👍

100% I could of done this however it’s I like it the way it is and it’s just a bit of extra light so to me I like the subtle look the you don’t even know it’s there until they come on. And trust me, they are plenty bright 👍😊

With your knurling do more then one pass. Go up stop it don't back out and go back ( put the lathe in reverse) the other way do that as many times as you like, usually twice up and back and your pattern will come out properly!

To find center of the peg, you'd touch of the jaws with an edge finder. First, touch off one jaw, then zero it on the DRO, then move the edge finder to the other jaw, find that edge, then divide that number in half. That number will be center.
@CafeRacerGarage3 жыл бұрын
Thank you for that tip Dean
@MainelyMoto2073 жыл бұрын
@@CafeRacerGarage I forgot to mention, this has to be done once the peg is tightened in the vice, since one jaw moves. But I like your to with the ruler, very handy.

So jealous of your tools. I would kill for a lathe, or even just a milling machine/high quality drill press ir steel cutting bandsaw. All I got it a crappy old drill n press, belt grinder and hand held grinder. I do have a welder which is nice but man it's tough to shape metal without the right tools. If unfolded, the brakelight will shine at a 45° degree to the ground. Change the 45° degree angle of the Pin to horizontal, so the brake light will shine horizontal, independent of the footpegs position.

Hmmm, Sorry - a bit too blingy for me. Would need to see footage from behind, from inside a car or truck, to see if they are visible to following drivers at the level and distance they will be sitting at - it doesn't look like they would be visible to anyone that wasn't lying down in the street. And if they don't make your braking more visible to following vehicles, then then they're superfluous and just for show. But an interesting build nontheless, and you have to try these things out.
