Thanks for the review. Just got one for my 14" MBP. For me, the higher profile is less rigid, but still but that bad. The con for me is that once you stick it on the laptop, you are committed to using whenever you are on flat surfaces, because when it's closed, the laptop gets shaky when i put a bit of force on the palm rests. Again, not that big of a deal.
