revenant class can be made as a tank (not that it matters in gw2). its the only class I see that can stack damage reduction effectively and easily. that is even without using soldiers stats

this video is well made and well detailed. Great explaining the different aspects and things of the revenant. After learning all this about how the revenant has what it has, i'm stuck wondering why sites like Metabattle says [insert meta build here] is the meta yet i find myself not doing any damage and dying to everything. Yet there are other builds like what they call the "meta build" for the ranger and it does work. And then i remember EVERYONE seems to put revenant in S tier in some form. After playing the Revenant this confuses me greatly. Almost as confusing as seeing them put certain classes in a lower tier that i've found more success with than some elite specs.

There are a few errors on this video, mostly minor stuff, but I wanted to point them out just in case. 3:30 Resistance does not make you immune to any form of croud control, that's Stability, and it only applies to Hard CC. Resistance makes you inmune to non-damaging conditions, which include the Soft CC category of Cripple, Chilled and Inmobilize. During the Herald segment, you call it the Dragon Knight a couple times. Probably not a good idea to missname a class in a video intended for beginners, since it could cause confusion, considering classes like Dragonhunter exist. During the Renegade section, the Alacrity granting skill is mentioned and pointed out during the video, but it points at Citadel Bombardment, not Order's from Above. Finally, and very minor, the legend is Kalla, not Kalia. :p

Been enjoying the Revenant as my "secondary class" in a way. Will probably take it Herald so I can have a class that is more helpful in pve content to others.

I run a full set of trailblazer on wep and trinkets too, with chill and torment giving heals and protection, can solo any champion in the game vindicator with dwarf and demon, greatsword and staff, heals, break all defiance bars, tanking everything head on, you get 3+ heals from 3 legends, aswell as staff heals, and you can infinitely break stuns on yourself as all 3 legends have an ability to do that slaps in pve, pvp and wvw against all classes, intense 2v1 and entire groups struggling to zerg you, it's amazing Revenant is truly overpowered if you know how to use your entire arsenal

id say renegade with kalia stance and dwarf kalia has god tier cc and cleave with devestation battlescars ur constatly healing throu everything with dwarf has S tier cc and on demand stability also hammers sustain u with battlescars too through anything....quick tip renegade shortbow weapon is a power scaled weapon

Power boon herald does work and is survivable. I have played its condi variant and it works but is more complicated. I have played renegade in its condi variant before all the nerfs, it was good.... now a days, I think its power variant is much better. I would suggest for the power herald or renegade diviners stats for end game (so you can do boons effectively), but i love the new dragon stats with its extra survivability.

Any tips on not dying to conditions while on Vindicator? I'm trying to make it through the PoF story and have taken so many characters through it and had no problem. But conditions melt me in places like Temple of Forgotten Kings.. In Maurader's gear with Fireworks runes.

In the invocation traitline, you can opt in for cleansing channel, which removes a condition each time you swap. Or you could spec into retribution and the dwarf stance for resolution buff, which reduces the damage of incoming conditions!

It can depend on the trait lines you take in i think salvation there is trait when you dodge roll you remove conditions

Your F3 swap on legendary alliance have slot skill that removes 5 condition. Or take a Dwarf Jalis as a second stance. Its healing skill also removes condies. Or you can take Staff as secondary weapon. Skill 2 or 4 removes conditions too

Condition Renegade (support or pure DPS) always uses Demon stance and is very popular. While Power Herald is generally superior in instanced PvE, Condi tends to beat it out in open world - best open world Herald builds are usually Demon + Dragon.

caffeinated dad just a quick tip for everybody Anet statement so not me saying....renegade shortbow scales with power dmg not condi cus the conditions on it are very weak it can be built for hybrid dmg but yeah its mainly power dmg

Yes, I won't be lying about them to make them sound cool, and I make them look as lame as they are, but it will be a better guide. Here is something you can't do because it will show how lame all the jokes are. Guild Wars Original Feast of Corruption Build: 1. Awaken the Blood: Increases the effectiveness of blood and curse skills 2. Soul Barbs: if the enemy is hexed they get damaged. 3. Ulcerous Lungs: the hex causes foes to have additional hp degen when bleeding. 4. Barbed Signet: Causes bleeding to foes. 5. Oppressive Gaze: Every foe suffering from a condition becomes poisoned and weakened. 6. Feast of Corruption: Every foe that is hexed gets hit with shadow damage and life steal.
