Cage the Elephant brothers Matt and Brad team up to record “Come a Little Closer” with a Halloween twist In Brooklyn. Buzzsessions are performance music videos produced by The Wild Honey Pie. With each new episode, we capture footage of our favorite bands as they record alternate studio quality versions of their songs.
We're celebrating Halloween with this extra special haunted Buzzsession shot at Brooklyn recording studio Vinegar Hill Sound with Nashville rockers Cage The Elephant. Surrounded by cobwebs, spiders and skulls, the guys performed spooky renditions of "Spiderhead" and "Come a Little Closer," both off their brand new album, Melophobia.

One of the things I really love about Matt Shultz is that he really doesn't give one single fuck if his voice cracks, or he's pitchy, or misses a note, etc. He just sings and has fun and dances everywhere and I think that's very cash money of him.

Yeah, most songs lose some fullness of sound or are just off without the base, but this one completely falls apart. Plus it's an acoustic bass which is cool and not very common

I got to know this version first and I prefer it to the studio version. The original bassline is good but there's nothing crazy about it. Studio version sounds too soft after hearing this acoustic one
