CAGNEY'S STEAKHOUSE ON NCL: FAVS & FLOPS!!

I knew instantly, the steaks were not hot. The House Butter wasn't melting at all on top. Cook the steak letting it rest with the butter on top and serve . I am cruising ,for the first time in Feb 2024 aboard the Getaway. My top three places for my B'day dinner would be Cagney's, Ocean Blue or Moderno Churrascaria. I would be interested in opinions of those .

Thanks for watching and for the comment with questions!! We absolutely totally loved Moderno - if you like lots of differently prepared meats, with a killer pineapple, this will be great for you. We also enjoyed Ocean Blue - you will love their rolls and they have a great variety of food. I think your selections will be super!

Would be nothing worse,then some cold food serving.Eggs?Toast?Potatoes?Onion rings?

Indeed! Cold food when it's supposed to be hot is not great; but this was still a good steak!

We will be on the Getaway in 25 days. I'm told to book the specialty dining in advance, but I can't get anyone to tell me the schedule for the blue plate special at O'Sheehan's. I know that they have a prime rib night and the buffet might too, but no one will tell me what I need to know in order to make an informed decision.

Hi there! In researching your question, I found that this may not be offered anymore at O’Sheehan’s. They definitely have slimmed down their menu over the past two years. Sorry to give you some unpleasant news. Take care!

Oh you are RIGHT!! Thanks for catching that! I got the NY Strip and Anthony got the Ribeye. They were both delicious; it makes my mouth water just thinking about those steaks! Thanks for your astute observation.

That was our biggest complaint, we did not complain to anyone either, but the food was always cold, we had a hot meal at the Italian restaurant and the Brazilian Steak House, those were really delicious! But not good in the three MDRs, always cold!

Yes! We thought it would be better the second time we got the onion rings but nope. The steak was very yummy and it was definitely an enjoyable meal! Thank you Mercy!😊

4:06-4:19, you did not tell us how big is the oyster, the oyster is just a SMALL piece on the big oyster shell of flour and seasoning.😢

I made the mistake at Cagney's and ordered my steak medium should have ordered medium rare my fault other than that really good.

Hiii question!! Because you had a dinning package did you need to pay the 20% gratuity for it or was that covered when you prepaid your service charges ? How does that work? Also does your drink packages work in the speciality dining restaurants? Thank you 🙏🏼

Hello, and thank you for watching and asking these great questions!! We had already paid the gratuities for this so we didn't have to pay more at the restaurant. The drink package absolutely works everywhere on the ship, including the restaurants!! Hope you have a wonderful time if you are sailing NCL soon!

So specialty dinning not worth the extra $, seems like NCL has to up their game if they want people to love specialty dinning. Thanks for your honest review. Cold Onion rings unexceptable.

I wonder if there will come a time in which you and Anthony come into a specialty dining restaurant and you get spotted and they make sure everything is perfect. If you get 1000 views and Anthony is talking about cold waffle fries twice and your lobster bisque was fishy that is not good. Especially to pay extra for.

That's a good point. But I think that so far, they pretty much will treat us like any other cruiser. This is why we like to tell it like it is. Everyone's experience is going to vary as well, I'm sure, especially with regard to food temperature. Thanks for your input, Ken!
