don't you also have to turn open the pressure valve on the source tank a few times when filling the unit?

Hi sir. I'm Joel from Philippines and currently working abroad. I just want to ask something and I hope you can help . i have problem in my Liquid Oxygen tank loaded with 230L.. The issue is it always released pressure in the pressure relief valve the reason for the tank to empty.

Somewhat correct but not the correct way to fill a lox base. The correct way is to gravity fill the base this ensures complete fill with correct saturation and allowing your primary relief valve to stay closed during fill. This is the way it was designed to be filled 45 years ago.

Thanks for your post. This video instruction helps to ensure that we end up with LOX saturated at 20 psi so the patient will get the correct prescribed flow rate. A gravity fill would leave the reservoir at close to atmospheric pressure which would cause the delivered flow rate at each setting to be under the prescription.
