HIE proposal for a £27m redevelopment of CairnGorm Mountain.

The bike trails would seem the most obvious investment that could be done most cheaply/ quickly and would give a decent return on investment if the funicular could be used for uplift. Dunno why they are proposed for the second phase of the plan

Generally speaking, the ideas are sensible, and great if they can have the determination to pull it off, but honestly, the M1 poma should not be replaced with a chairlift. Its too windy at the top and the Ciste needs it more, running up to the Ciste T-Bar, with the 2ndary option for uplift to the Ptarmigan being the WW Poma. The M1 Should be doubled up by re-instating the White Lady T-Bar Running slower than the M1 for beginners, who, if the funicular gets repaired, will have a way up anyway. The snowmaking, as suggested in the presentation should be concentrated in the Cas for best effect, though some in the Ciste bowl wouldn't go a miss as It would prolong late-season and early season skiing.

What about the funicular? Isn’t that the first thing to sort out and get people back up to the summit/ ptarmigan?
