Does the media actually think viewers don't look at the actual stats? The WNBA started out in the late 90's with a pretty decent rating overall. After a couple years, it declined and more or less evaporated over a 5-10 year span. The last 2 years they made increases of like 5%-10% total viewership. This year, they have exploded with 11 of the top 12 viewed games being Indiana Fever games with Clark. I have not seen the stats for Chicago attendance in non-Indiana games but would assume there is at least some increase due to Reese, probably more than what the average WNBA increase is. If Paige stays healthy, they could see more uptick next year as well. And more uptick when Juju arrives, not sure if that is next year or a couple years from now. The new, younger players are bringing a different set of skills and style to the game which people find entertaining.

Every metric from merchandise to TV ratings and attendance on the road shows that Caitlin is unequivocally the player who moves all the needles!
