“ Caitlin is still in a relative shooting slump” Slump? I’m not so sure I’d go so far as to characterize her rookie struggles as a “slump”. She’s shooting 90% from the charity stripe. And while it’s true that her FG% is not elite, neither is it below average. Furthermore, she faces a lot of double teams and typically draws her opponents’ best defender. And then there’s those logo threes…

Her shooting has been very sub par in WNBA She is only shooting 34% If she gets her shot back it will be a nightmare Her primary threat needs to be passing to make it so they aren't defending her so much, and she is now 3rd in league in assists
@trouts4444

@@samsarfo3660 She is the best and the olympic people know that. The rejection of Clark is ok. The issue was a fit with those currently selected and getting up to speed with that team versus much else especially talent. The selection was based on what team would get the most baskets, one with Clark or someone who would integrate better. Clark could likely intergrate with any team over time but not get up to speed with the olympic teem fast enough.

Exactly! This is what she did so well at Iowa. It took the Fever a while to get started up with the tough early schedule and the team needing to gel. But the Fever is showing signs of improvement and, when they're firing on all cylinders, they are tough to beat. By "spreading the wealth," Clark is making the Fever difficult to defend because you can't double team everyone!

Exactly. People nag about how it's terrible the way people are to some of these lovely, athletic ladies, but what some people don't know is that if we want to experience the greatest, we have to go through the worst. It's called life. And things that come quickly to us or unearned, well, it's easy come, easy go. The WNBA might man up a lot of people, because their energy is contagious and they sure are some tough warriors out there, and it's an in and out the court thang they gotta to through too.

Good game...damn good game.
@baseballsux2
@baseballsux2 3 ай бұрын
The Fever *are* contenders, not a last place team. In fact … Indiana slid back into the playoff picture with their first win over a team with a winning record. With the Liberty, Sun, Lynx, Storm, and Aces all presumably locks to make the playoffs, CC22 and the Fever are competing with Phoenix, Atlanta, and Chicago for those three final spots. Indiana is now 5-1 against those three clubs. 0-10 vs the (five) upper tier clubs, so the Fever got something to prove there still. They’ll get their chance against the Aces & Liberty later this week. That said, Indiana appears to be the best of the rest. We could conceivably see CC22 and company secure the six seed come September.

'Clark is the BEST thing to ever happened to the money losing league. Attendance is way up. In fact in games CC plays in draws 105% more fans than games she doesn't play. If you know basketball you would also know that you don't judge a player by TOTAL turnovers but by assist to turnover ratio. Most players that have a high number of assist also have high turnovers. A good ratio is 2.0, CC is 1.5 but is improving. Her senior year at IOWA she was ranked in the Top 100 (#83) in assist to turnover ratio. There were over 28,000 female D1 basketball players last year. That means she had a better ratio than almost 99% of the total players. That piece of garbage Reese is shooting 41% from the field and and has only taken 1 3 point shot. CC is right behind her at 39.3% and attempts over 8, 3s per game. Reese is shooting just 76% from the line, CC 89% Reese stood up from the bench and cheered when Carter committed a dead ball flagrant foul on Clark sending her to the floor which could have resulted in a serious injury. That was probably the biggest crowd Dianasaur Taurasiaurus ever played in front of. Maybe the pressure got to her. 🤔

I’ve never seen so many stupid comments about CC. Here she is, being absolutely a top notch team player feeding the ball to her teammates to put up points. So what she didn’t score enough for you? She’s getting awesome numbers for her assists, which says more about her and the type of game she plays. She’s no primadonna. She’s hardcore.

CC would’ve made headlines if she would’ve hit that shot.

Mitchell has the ability to catch-and shoot. She showed that yesterday. Clutch as well. Samuelson should start with Smith & Boston and that would be the perfect spacing & shooting that Caitlin can thrive on. BUT THEY HAVE A BAD COACH so that wouldn't be happening...

Since Caitlin has come into the W, or since she's been making headlines the past cpl yrs(bc none of u were checking for her b4 then) yall have given her so much praise, and its warranted...the problem I have is that yall r quick to praise her but tear everyone else down, and that's what the new culture does...how bout praise every other women in the league?!?! Come for Caitlin, THEN stay for the W!!!

Probably the best player in the WNBA currently. Her vision and selflessness is what lead to the comeback. Pretty crazy to watch.

Bro she's one of the best players in the WNBA and I'm a better shooter.... Who am I you ask? Nobody and that's my point. Imagine being a professional basketball player and airballing a wide open shot....

Never cared for the WNBA until Caitlin Clark came around. Rather would have watched Female Tennis or Volleyball. But Clark is more than impressive on all levels.

Right. Why is she not on the Olympic team? Oh that’s right it would hurt others’ feelings. She will quickly be the best player in wnba’s history. wish she’d go play in europe though. why make the greddy ratchets in the wnba money? take her draw overseas and watch wnba revenue absolutely plummet.

That white woman can play really really good basketball. She’s also considerate and respectful. Even while she puts up with racist attacks from the “other” players.

Every time I would see WNBA highlights it was really “lowlights” and just showing a bunch of air balls, half the time with the video commenter trashing the league. When you see actual highlights it’s pretty cool.
