She runs like a Gazelle, Back in the day when refs called "palming the ball", she would have slowed her advances a bit, but now the ref's are not calling half the flagrant body blocks on the defense when she makes an approach to the hoops ... and they don't even call the defense on the malicious pokes and arm chops after the ball is already in the air. It is showmanship....and it draws crowds. And its all about $$$$---Team Spirit and Speed. Caitlin is arguably, in her first season, one of the fastest players in transition the league has seen, and one of the best passers. Elsewhere I saw a couple of comments about this game that I thought were pretty good. The first was that this was a "trench warfare" game. It wasn't pretty, but at least Fever got the W. The 2nd, which makes me smile because @1848nelson uses the same word here in reference to CC: "disruptive." Except the commentator was referring to Fagbenle. "It doesn't show in the stats but it can sure effect a game." Well said! Stats show such a small portion of a game. Sometimes a clutch play at a key moment changes the outcome.

In the short time I have been watching, the Fever are getting better with their ball handling but the team, overall, is still missing opportunities due to their not cleaning handling the passes from Clark. More time is needed as a unit, and definitely more practice simply because Caitlin is playing at a different speed than the rest. Anticipation is important and being ready for the pass, cuz it's coming at you. I would equate her with Connor McDavid of the Edmonton Oilers. Both see the game differently and make adjustments on the fly. The WNBA have a marvelous gift that can be marketed and used to create enormous revenues.

This team is still learning what it can do. The Mitchell pass at the end was HUGE!!! She took one out of Clark’s book… they are going to need that from her. That for me was the first time I seen her make a quality decision with the ball where she wasn’t shooting it. That may have won them the game! If she starts doing more of that to compliment Clark doing that all the time…they are super dangerous at that point because they are both always a threat to score from anywhere. In this highlight I saw at least 3 assists for Clark that were basically blown… otherwise she had her normal 8 at least. It happens, but we have to convert those against the good/great teams. But this game serves notice to the league that this team can beat the best in the league now on a regular basis. There’s still lots to improve on, tighten up more, but the stuff that’s working, can beat any team in the league, even if they’re full strength and playing well themselves. I say eye on the prize. Win it all. Figure it out. You’ve got the tools. There’s no next year…only now. Win it THIS YEAR. SHOCK THE WORLD!!! 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥❤️💯
