If Christie sides just held like a press conference and gave a 3 hour long speech all about how great Caitlin is would that finally be enough for people to stop pretending like she hates Caitlin?! She always compliments CC… in all these postgame interviews a few times a week and the pre-game ones. She just doesn’t kiss her ass obnoxiously for the whole interview because it’s not productive to talk about and because she has a whole team of good players, not just one and it wouldn’t exactly make them like her or like Caitlin if she didn’t choose to talk about them all in the same way. Caitlin Clark is no damsel in distress and she is a confident pro athlete who is highly aware of her talent and she hasn’t even needed any validation from freaking social media people themselves or any praise elicited from other people in the wnba or fans of it. You are NOT helping Caitlin out by demonizing her coach and teammates which not only isn’t helpful.. it’s harmful to our team. They all like eachother.. they don’t treat her like the goddess of basketball and fawn over her endlessly. They are actually really friends to her which is undoubtedly the way she wants it. Maybe try being supportive of people to do like instead of seeking out who you think should be an enemy.

You know, that brings up something I thought about tonight when they were up 30 points and the game seemingly was in the bag (Coach Sides made sure I was wrong on that). I thought it would be funny if Clark drove to the basket just one time and started missing 4 or 5 shots under the basket to pad her rebound stat. I'd have laughed.

I am more of a football 🏈 guy now but being exited about female professional 🏀 takes a special kind of athlete to do that and this kid humility and concentration on the game blocking all the outside BS coming her way makes her awesome to watch! I believe that we should give Sides some time even if I believe she may be unqualified to coach this caliber player. The fever needs to invest in a better coaching staff. I like how you think you somehow know what went wrong in their game plan when you’re not involved in it… but you said it with so much confidence so that just has to mean you’re right…. FUCK NO IT DOESNT. We don’t know how they do things. It’s always technically the coaches fault even when it’s not really but it’s not a coach’s job to tell the media. They have to take responsibility to her players and fellow coaches and staff, they hold eachother accountable because nothing is ever just one persons fault and every good game or bad game is an excuse to work on your craft. But that is all obvious so I am not at all understanding why people are the in the comments angry because she didn’t take responsibility… do you only think she’s taking responsibility if she says the words ‘it’s on me. This was my fault’ or can you not just assume that her being the head coach of a professional sports league means she knows where the blame always goes.. on the coach. There’s just no point in stating the obvious.

Yeah. She’s one of the few coaches who DOESNT take ANY responsibility for who she puts on the floor. If she’s still the coach next season, I’ll be surprised. Coach is actually holding the team back. Hull and Katie Lou need to stay in. And NaLyssa actually seemed to play with a little more aggression tonight. Haven’t seen her do that very often this season.

CC went from shining with joy in the great play and phenomenal involvement (dimples came out), to looking displaced out there, to banging the chair out of sheer frustration after giving up most of a 31 point lead, then nearly sacrificing the game. It’s obvious that she disagrees with the coaching decisions and it’s squandering her full talents. Imagine what she could do if Sides wasn’t putting her foot out and tripping up the game. Bench Wheeler, call more screens for CC, and let her roll with it as she has the best court vision and game IQ of anyone!

I'm not a league expert, but right now, A'ja Wilson is the best, followed by, probably Stewart and Collier. After them, it may depend on what you're looking for, but I'm not sure that any other player has CC's skill set and potential. Maybe, present value, I might take Jackie Young or Alissa Thomas in addition to those three. You can debate CC with Ionescu or Plum, but I think Cait is better all-around. So yeah, I'm thinking she's already top 7-10, and on the rise.

Caitlins 3 point shot is very Cury like, but her passing reminds me of Steve Nash in his prime. And the more her team mates learn to anticipate those passes, the better this team is going to continue to get! With how seemlessly she runs the offense, I just can't understand how she didn't make the Olympic team.
