I don’t think Clark is interested in being anybody’s gimmick. She turned down Unrivaled and now she might turn down NBA all star weekend. Seems to me her only interest is being the best WNBA player ever

I got the CC "invite" on my facebook page and didn't see it at first. 2 questions: 1. Were any other W players invited? Like A'ja since she's the best and face of the W. 2. Would inviting a non NBA player to compete be considered having a celebrity compete? If so, what is the compensation for having a celebrity compete?

I would be surprised if CC doesn't participate. It is a little odd, though, that it hasn't been officially announced yet, but they could still be hammering out details. One solution to the rack-shoot versus pass-catch & shoot is to have each teammate who is not shooting, pull the ball from the rack and pass it too the shooter. This eliminates any controversy of the passer because it will be their teammate doing the passing.

Well, I got this one wrong. : P However, I was not aware that things were happening behind the scene that were in effect dissuading CC from wanting to participate this year at all. Kudos to her for standing by her convictions and realizing that now is not the time and waiting will be better for everyone.

This sounds like a lot of fun for the participants. I think CC should look at this not as a challenge, but a fun time with “The 3-point Goat”. If she wins - Great for the W and women sports everywhere, if she looses, it would also fun for the viewers, and it would still be great. For the W and women everywhere. I see it as a Win, Win scenario. What about Curry if he looses to a woman? He may take some jabs from his buddies, but he’ll have fun and continue praising her regardless who wins. All is Well!

I think that CC says what she means. If she said she’s not inclined to do it, she won’t do it. Everyone thought she would change her mind on unrivaled or the WNBA 3 point contest, but she didn’t. Don’t think she will do it.

Her show is in the game, not some side show. Watch the tapes and her form. You said it yourself, it is the same rhythm and motion all the time. Very Fluid

I'd think she'd be inclined to do it. The NBA has been her biggest supporter since last season. Much moreso than the WNBA. I assume that she'd be shooting a size 6 ball as opposed to the NBA size 7 ball so I don't think that'd be an issue. I think that she has to do it, really. If she doesn't then it gives fodder to the haters, who will say that she's afraid or that she can't do it.

It's true. CC did an ad for Gatorade where she shoots 3 from the rack and she said she didn't enjoy it and that she would prefer if it was a catch & shoot or shoot of the dribble as it is more challenging and exciting for her. Go and check her past interviews.

Clark is afraid of 3 point contest. She was afraid of doing the WNBA 3 point contest too. Last season, she wasn't even the best 3 point shooter in the WNBA but the Media made it look like she was.😂

Afraid? Its more a for fun than a serious competition who cares who wins or loses? I would say maybe she's afraid of lose face by embaress herself than losing. And to avoid it probably is a thought out decision since she's focused in her form rather than prepare for that. And yes she would need to do a separated workout with racks. Thats what she's most worried about, losing her shooting motion because of it

She said two things about not doing the 3-pointer last year. She said she just wanted to enjoy the weekend because she was tired and that she never practiced off the rack. That's part of the skill is coordinating the movements to get the balls off the rack quickly.

Clark was just an average 3 point shooter last year, she knew it despite the Media painted her like the best 3 point shooter in the world. She is ducking and will continue ducking it until maybe next year when the all Star weekend will be held in Indiana, because of that she would have no choice but to participate.
