The $28m amount is because we know the original offer was one year for $3.5m and no shoe deal. She rejected that. Then later it was announced she took a different deal for 8 years with a signature shoe. Everyone just assumes it’s a $28m deal but there has been absolutely no proof of it. It could be a totally different deal. And here we are having a thousand conversations about something that neither Caitlin nor her agent has confirmed. Most other deals have not been reported. A’ja, Paige, etc. We think we know Sabrina’s but do we? Nike doesn’t disclose that information and leaks are not always trustworthy. Someone can misunderstand or purposely mislead people just to feel powerful. Maybe it is $28m but we don’t know the structure of the deal. Merch and shoe sale percentages, is there a clause for performance? We know nothing. I could be wrong but you can’t speculate in the business world because that can get you into big trouble. Fans can though, but I wouldn’t be asking for her agent’s head. Did you guys know the same agent represents Napheesa Collier and Arike? It’s true. #1. I don't Caitlin really would want to play a 5th year in college. It would diminish the value of all her college records. People like Swoops would swoop in (pun intended) and say her records aren't valid because she played 5 years. You and I may know the details but as time goes on people would forget the 4 year records and only look at career records. Also, knowing that the Fever had the first pick which would allow her to stay in the midwest was a big factor as well. #2. As we know hindsight is 20/20. Clark's agent didn't know and Caitlin herself didn't know what this year was going to be like. At the time she was offered the greatest contract any WNBA player ever had. As things turned out Nike got a steal. My problem is that Nike never did anything with it. I'm not sure Caitlin cares anyway. She's getting 3.5 million a year from the deal and she doesn't need to do anything else for it. If Nike did do something it might be an annoyance anyway. She'd have to start doing apperances and go into studios to film commercials etc. I think she's happy just playing basketball.

She might have signed a royalty that says any future sales will be calculated back to the original signing date of the contract. Lets say in 2026 her shoe is released and sales are $200 million dollars for that year, she would receive % of those sales for 2024, 2025 and lets say her royalty is 5% of shoe sales, for 2024 she would receive 15% and for 2025 she would receive 10% of 2026 sales amount and then receive 5% for 2026 and beyond.

Bro you need to stop making these foolish videos about her Nike deal. For the last time go learn what a signature shoe deal is & what the contracts typically look like. I think you know but you are intentionally misleading your audience because these videos do numbers for you but I hope I’m wrong about that. First, the most important part of a signature shoe deal is the royal % from sales not the yearly value like you keep insinuating. Thats why so few players get them & why Nike doesn’t like to give them out easily. The yearly value is only important if you can’t sell a large amount of shoes otherwise you want the royalty % which is just like a sales commission & the higher the % from sales & the amount of sales the more money you can make. The royalty % is negotiated in the contact & you can bet CC has a large % by her taking less in yearly salary. Now, you have two options for earning in the deal: 1. You take a higher yearly salary with little to no royalties from sales like most players LeBron, Zion, & Wemby etc… 2. You take a higher royalty % because you know you’re going to sell a lot of shoes. Like CC will & of course the king MJ who Nike never paid a high yearly salary to even to this day it was only 1 million a year back in ‘84 but he makes the most money $250 million a year from his shoe sales royalties (5%). No other NBA player can come close to that but CC will & I predict she will pass it because of her Taylor Swift like fanbase demographics who buy all things CC. I believe CC will finally do the impossible & pass the real GOAT as the highest yearly shoe seller. Second, nobody knows the details or total value of her Nike deal in order to speculate if it’s a bad deal. Every report you have seen or heard about any of CC’s endorsement deal values & her earnings from them are pure speculation & estimates nothing factual period! Go back & read the language in the reports or listen to videos. Third, nobody is making more than CC on her Nike deal that’s just a stupid statement 😂 do you think Nike is stupid? They know A’ja, Juju,& Paige will not sell shoes they have no metrics that show they can sell anything 😂 even Sabrina does not sale shoes (individually). Clark doesn't really have an agent. It's been mom & pop keeping a low profile helping her navigate her investments and appearances. I'm assuming there's a brokerage firm and a lawyer thrown in. No one knows the details of her contract and neither party is about to spill the beans to anyone. All this talk about the worth of her contract is nothing more than pure conjecture. Now if I were a betting man, I’d put my money on the likelihood that her Nike deal will end up being worth hundreds of millions of dollars before all is said and done. Of course, that’s just pure speculation on my part, though.
