Caitlin's team mates MUST fight through to receive the passes that Caitlin is throwing to them. It is like a quarterback whose receivers can't catch or shake the defense. The defense ganged up on her and she did not have the help needed to make it happen. I am more impressed by Caitlin's success thus far after this debut game. Her team mates have to press through to get to the passes thrown to them, that is, unless they expect Caitlin to literally put the ball in their hands. Look at the defensive coverage that Caitlin got compared to anyone else on the court. Hell, the way they smothered her I would have been impressed had she got 10 points and 20 turnovers. The turnovers were just as much the fault of her team mates as it were hers. The defense smothered Caitlin and nobody really came to the ball to help as much as they should have. Caitlin is a SUPERSTAR!!!!

Realistically it will a long road to get to playing .500 ball. The idea of the playoffs will be suitable. What will likely happen is the hype will die quickly as people who came to the sport will leave twice as fast. Things will be back to the WNBA Norm by the Olympics

Watch her preseason. Her style of play is still just as exciting. Fever games will stay packed at least this season. The teams will eventually be under pressure to drop older players for younger players who play a different style of basketball. The league will either transition fast to a younger league or fizzle as jaded vets quash enthusiasm and drive people away.

I think it’s quite obvious how they’re going to play her just in those two preseason games she seemed quite mortal. Bottom line is the game as unwatchable and always will be because it’s women playing hype can generate some interest short term, especially in college levels where you’re cheering for a team more than individual, we will see
