Big Celtics fan, got caught up in the Hawkeyes run the last few years with CC & Martin and the rest of the crew. Happy for both CC & especially Kate Martin for getting her shot! I watched the WNBA draft for the first time ever and was pumped when Martin was picked. She is very deserving of it, smart player and seems like a really great teammate to just have around which is important to have in the locker room. My only complaint is this game is on during my Celtics Playoff game tonight :( I'll probably have it streaming on the WNBA App on my phone. Good luck tonight and have a great rookie season!

Professional players are excellent--that's why they're professionals, but most aren't "Stars." (That's what being a Star means, having skills are far above the rest). Kate averaged 13 ppg and 7 reb per game her senior year (but previous years were less) and she was capable of putting up 20 in the biggest games and at the highest levels of D1 basketball. She was a key part of a #2 AP ranked team in 2024 (and #3 in 2023). The Aces drafted and kept her when they could have taken anyone else...."She isn't that good..." and you base your expert opinion on what exactly?

She was amazing and I doubted her also
