Fever star Caitlin Clark loved the atmosphere at Barclays Center on Saturday afternoon though Indiana fell to the Liberty 91-80. Clark scored 22 points and added eight assists but also knows she has things she can continue to improve on. New York's Breanna Stewart says everyone recognizes Clark's presence has heightened the WNBA's profile already and it's just a matter of her continuing to gain experience as a player.

Clark helps Liberty become 1st WNBA team to have $2M+ in 1-game ticket revenue. That’s incredible,” Liberty star Breanna Stewart said when she heard about the record ticket revenue. “I think the buzz and eyes that Caitlin has brought from Iowa now to the WNBA is going to be a collective win for all. When I first started in the league, some teams weren’t even making revenue. ... It’s a long time coming. We’re happy to be at this point, but we’re not satisfied.” The game was sold out, with 17,735 fans in attendance, and tickets were hot on the secondary market. Caitlin Clark sells tickets and that’s a fact

Yeah, regardless of Indiana Fever's playing so far, the fans will keep coming. They know she can be good, but she's on a team that has had the #1 draft pick 2 years in a row for a reason. They are not that good. Even the highest paid player and starter, Wheeler, didn't score a single point. It's gonna be a long summer for Fever fans and probably the next summer as well. If I recall, when Stephen Curry came into the NBA, I believe it took them 3 years or 4 before Stephen Curry became really good and they became a really good team winning many games. WNBA is not college basketball and I do believe it'll take them a while. Hopefully the fans keep coming knowing this. It'll happen. It's a matter of when.

Breanna was the best player on the floor, but CC was second. When Caitlin is allowed to play point guard and play at a fast space, she is very exciting to watch. You never know if it will be a drive to the hole, a long pass, or a deep 3. She just needs to space out the floor and play QB. I'm also amazed at Breanna's game. She is such a complete player!

This is a good loss. It about cohesiveness and direction. CC is the point guard she should have the ball in her hands all the time. Boston is the center she should be in the paint all the time. The problem with you bandwagon fans who have no knowledge of the game is that you folks only look at a player's total points and not FG Attempts as opposed to FG's made. Most of you have yet to grasp that reality as well as the fact that defense is important as well. That's something you folks rarely mention, if at all. I guess that's why the last two winners of the national championship in college have been predominantly Black teams who emphasized playing defense as much as offense.

As an athlete, I had no doubt there would be transition time. It’s going to take time to learn the rhythms and habits of 11 new teammates. Learn a different leadership style with a new coach. That doesn’t mean we can’t expect CC to come in and do some good things right from the start. 3 games in shes averaging 17 pts a game (give or take), getting decent assist numbers, and already progressing toward less TOs. Not bad for a rookie who’s playing less than 30 min a game.

First, I am a big Caitlin Clark fan. I note she often starts in a corner of the arc instead of getting more involved in the middle including the paint. I feel she is afraid of contact in the paint which explains why she very rarely drives for floaters or layups. She also does not shoot to the right and I do not see fall-away shots. In other words, she is far too predictable in seeking 3 point shots and is pressing. She will not be good on the pro level until she becomes more versatile and can handle the physicality. She needs to vary her game, be unpredictable and fearless.

I feel bad that Caitlin is being doubled and sometimes tripled teamed but no one wants to lose to Indiana. The veterans of the WNBA talk about respect and no rookie is going to come in and dominate them. I'm a Liberty fan and Sabrina was injured her first two seasons but then her third made her an All-Star. I hear Fever fans wanting the head coach Christie Sides to be fired, as if Caitlin was going to win the championship all by herself. It's Sides 2nd season as their coach!

@@anitagordon-jb6pd yes but how many were 5th year and not actually finishing schooling, playing to the last game of the tournament, and being in the spotlight having all the questions directed at her. All the media attention in college was on her and now finding a new narrative besides just playing basketball. Anyways, it seems like a lot. If it was me I would want a break or at least some time to digest the college run. Just saying.

Fever were clicking then Sides decides enough is enough and benches Clark for Wheeler...score went to double digit deficit. Wheeler is a ball hog and can't make a layup. Berger was not even in the game after playing great Thursday night. Why???? Wheeler should never see the light of day or be waived. Where is Celeste..good defender not half bad shooter. Defense obviously could have been better... but NY is hot from 3's and smooth passer (Veteran presence). Overall an improvement from 30 loss to 11.
