Cheese Lollipops
Richard has been filming the kickstarter extra where he interviews his ventriloquist dummy Ally and the 125 year old terrifying monstrosity at the centre of a possible sex crime is introduced to the crowd.
Richard’s guest is the home-schooled, Benedict Cumberbatch botherer, Caitlin Moran.
Caitlin discusses her ambitious plans to kickstart the cancelled yet award-winning Raised by Wolves (www.kickstarte..., (the show has been bumped up in the schedule so apologies for any minor disruptions of running jokes), how she nearly broke into Kate Moss’ house, why you shouldn't give an 18 year old a TV show and possibly the most unconvincing ghost story so far and how she used numerology to help her choose her name.
Ally has a question about feminism that is very offensive, but you have to remember that he is from another time.
There are still four shows left to be filmed. Come along and see it live if you can leicestersquar...

As a 51 year old Geordie man, I’m not your typical Caitlin Moran fan but I’ve loved her stuff for years. Great episode.

She's pretty likeable, in my opinion. Opinionated and verbose, but fun and doesn't take herself too seriously. Unrelated, but I do kind of fancy her too.

But it's Richard woolly liberal Herring, you wouldn't expect this from his audience, also feminist can mean anything from being a conspiratorial crack pot to simply believing that men and women should have the same opportunities and we should stamp out prejudicial bias, in the scientific world at least we accept that equal opportunity does not necessarily mean equal outcome, but everyone should have the same shot and be treated under the same standards.

Yeah well, saying it can mean anything is to ignore what the movements become. Some of my friends still call themselves feminists but we grew up in the era of Germaine Greer, when it had a point and you were admired for it. Its not like that anymore. If you want to call yourself a feminist now and dont want to align yourself with screeching nonsensical (and non-scientifically minded) harpies then you have to explain your position.

I didn't agree at all with her Radiohead/Kasabian comparison and how class background might affect the musical themes and artistic direction of rock bands. You can't apply class background to everything and make these broad statements. It works up to a point if you throw in Genesis/Oasis as well. But not sure how she'd explain the dark and sombre music and lyrical themes of, say, Morrissey & The Smiths, whose background was as bleakly northern and working class as you can get.

For shits sake, man, don't spend a minute doing announcements - there is an etiquette to this website, else you lose audience. People don't like to wait - get straight on it, do the housekeeping later.
