Definitely recommend Jonghyun's posthumous album Poet | Artist! The lyrical content is incredible and the title track Shinin' has an mv. Jonghyun looks really beautiful in the mv and I think that's how we should remember him most. Just a warning though that the very last song, Before Our Spring, is REALLY emotional. I cry nearly every time I listen to it, but it's really beautiful. We're really fortunate to be able to remember Jonghyun through his incredible music.

SHINee was SM's experimental group. When they debuted they didn't even get any promos before hand like what usually happens with new groups, just a few days before their television debut there was a news story about this new group with the song called Replay from SM and then they had their debut on Inkigayo (very unheard of) a few days later and then they grew from there. They are known as the Idol of Idol's and a lot of groups, even their seniors in the industry, look up to them and love them. And despite them debuting in 2008 they were all 15-18 years old at the time and they often teased other idol groups about that as they were often younger than them but had more seniority in the industry lol.

Normally b4 debut other SM groups will have teasers for the whole group and for the member individual but not SHINee, they didnt have any teaser pictures. Few days b4 debut they only have news on the TV. Their parents actually were on Inkigayo that day, after finishing their performance, SHINee came to their parents to get encouragement. You're gonna love NCT, another SM boy group. Three of the members' Ten, Taeyong (the guy in the pink hair you were crazy for), Mark and Lucas are a part of SuperM alongside Taemin, Kai, and Baekhyun. So NCT has an unlimited concept and the cool thing about it is the sub-units fans get. The set ones are WAYV, the Chinese subunit, NCT127, NCT Dream, the subunit for the young members and NCT U where any members across NCT can be pulled together and constantly be interchanged. I feel like sampling a song from each unit would be a great way to start. So from NCT127 Simon Says, WAYV Turn Back Time, NCT Dream Chewing Gum and NCT U Make a Wish. In addition, every few years SM brings (currently 23 members and growing) together to do a group project. Basically all members are reunited and perform together on one stage rather than their individual subunit. I would recommend their first performance as a whole group Black on Black or if you like their recent 2020 comeback Resonance, there only these two.

@@juhducah5464 yes, I have that feeling too. around that time seems like Super Junior has a few songs similar to RDD like Sorry, Sorry 2009, Bonamana 2010 and Mr. Simple 2011, they were quite popular that time that’s why maybe SM gave RDD to SHINee, but because of the auto tune they couldn’t showcase the boys actual vocal prowess, although RDD was my first SHINee song but I would prefer watching the live performance to MV because of the auto tune. Nevertheless RDD is iconic.

I may be late to this reaction but I was feeling very SHINee-y these days so I search for reactions that I have never seen yet. I love your reactions haha and yes they are among famous idols/boy bands with THE best harmonisation. Also, Kibum (Key) used to go for exchange student program in USA, that's how he picked up English and he's been perfecting his English with other members too. They've been around that long and originally SM didn't even expect them to teach their status of "The idols idol." They were supposed to be a transition group from 2nd gen to 3rd

It’s always fun watching people react to SHINee because they’re so experimental and their music can be so random sometimes, but we love it! We all feel the same about RDD, but you learn to love it too 😅 and I actually didn’t like don’t call me at first, but now I love it. It sounds like some sort of ritual chanting being performed around a fire or something. SHINee is never afraid to try something new!

Ah, back in 2010 I’ve watched Lucifer by Shinee and was absolutely obsessed! Taemin was my bias before I even knew what that is and even though he was a fetus back then. XD and that was my introduction to kpop, I’ve listened to it sporadically through the decade until BTS finally hit me like a truck of bricks in late 2019 and I eventually became a full-fledged kpop multistan. This is such a trip down a memory lane!

The interesting thing about SHINee is that they are a very experimental group. They treat each comeback as an opportunity to try a new style but with their unique interpretation. As a result, you’ll find MVs such as Ring Ding Dong or Lucifer which reflect a lot of the trends around that time particularly of western trends as SHINee are often the first to adopt trends from abroad (e.g. RDD was done in the era of heavy auto tune, View introduced House, etc.).

yeeeees, i've been waiting for this! you are gonna love this journey you've just started, for sure. if you're someone who's passionate about music then shinee is definitely the group to get into. they are so unpredictable when it comes to genre & style. they're not afraid to experiment, and have even been credited which started some of the most popular kpop music trends. also, they're known for some of the very best b-sides. they're albums are a treasure. i really think you'll love jonghyun's solo stuff especially. his vibes suits you, and he was an incredibly passionate writer, singer and composer. i'm sure you're planning to watch some of their other mv's at some point, but i would also recommend their live performances. tons of people will probably say the same thing, but it bears repeating, because thwir lives are just, jaw-dropping. it's so awesome to see new people being introduced to shinee. even 13 years into their career, they're still gaining fans 💎💖🌙

SHINee are vocal kings (each one of them) also are the kings of harmonies, it is the characteristic touch of their music and they have performances of another level. SHINee debuted in 2008 when Taemin was 14 years old. Onew was 18, he is the he guy who is always smiling, he also is the leader with beautiful vocals that tansmist so much calm, but it's also so strong. KEY, the guy who speaks English really well is the rapper, dancer, visual, vocalist and fashonist. MINHO is guy with blond hair in "Atlantis" and with red hair in "don't call me" he is the visual and main rapper, he is so charismatic and caring, the best shawol ever. Jonghyun and Onew are the main vocalist, but actually they all are vocalist, dancer and visuals. You will understand what I'm talking about when you check more of them, especially their live performances. They best known as the "live performances kings" and "princes of kpop" I really really enjoyed your reactions, wait for more SHINee and each SHINee's member stuff as a soloist, except for Minho. Minho just has a MV which was out before he got into the military, it's called "I'm Home" 😊THANK YOUUUUUUU
