A comment from another reaction which makes sense. "I honestly think a lot of people missed the point of the whole song anyway. Yes, it's a bit saucy lol BUT...I think the point of it was that all these girls (ABG's or otherwise) were in 2D (on the computer, on the phone, voice chat etc) and how he used to be able to pick up girls for real and hook up or whatever but now even holding hands is made to be a big deal. So, there may be a bunch of girls he's messing with in 2D (online) but as for actual fucks, he's got none (which could also be he doesn't give a fuck, i don't know for sure of course) but he's got the money and would be willing to even fly this girl here to meet in real life just to get the chance to see if there was something there. I think this is the state of modern day dating now...many, many many online "relations" but still not being with anyone in person, and I imagine it's even more that way with celebrities of their status. And I think both of them made it clear that the consent factor is covered...JK says "if you're ready, and if you'll let me..." and Jack "you don't have to guarantee me nothing..." so basically they both are saying I really like what I'm seeing but this 2D shit ain't enough...so if you're ready I want to see if we might have something for real...I really want to meet you in person in 3D."

You are cracking me up! Yes, JK has let loose and lettin us know what's really going on in that quiet mind. BTS has been so clean in their music all these years and now that they are GROWN MEN with adult thoughts doing adult things, everyone is in shock. And instead of being upset with JK they are attacking Jack Harlow in my opinion. There are waayyyy more rappers and songs that I feel are way worse by both men and women. I love your reactions. 💜

i agree with majority of your comment except the "bts have been clean in their music all these years" cause thats not really true. converse high, all night, cypher 3, 1verse, throw away etc theres many examples of bts being "dirty" probably more im forgetting rn. bts have never been the typical restricted kpop idol so idk why so many are so shocked also theyve always made clear who their inspirations are which are mainly american rappers and pop stars who's music is 1000x "worse" than these two jungkook songs. i put dirty and worse in quotes cause imo theres nothing dirty about making sexual music no matter who it is. people gotta let the korean industry evolve. if people paid attention theres very clear pushback being done by idols and actors on whats "acceptable" so many more idols and actors are getting tattoos and piercings, dating publicly, calling out their haters, sasaengs, etc, doing whatever they feel like doing, smoking publicly, even suing their labels and winning. looking at korean ent as a whole right now and it seems like going global is allowing them to feel more secure to stop letting k netz and labels restrict them so harshly. its not perfect but even compared to 2016 to now a lot of progress has been happening. collabing and doing more explicit songs is part of that.

@olivial5558 Жыл бұрын
OK so I felt the same way about Jack Harlow's verse originally too. The dead body line is a reference from a movie (I believe), first of all, and there he's saying that he used to show off his girls to his friends because they were hot. And then he's saying he used to focus on his own pleasure by having many girls at the same time, but now he's focusing on her pleasure, which is why it's different with the new girl. Which also goes into the context of JK's lines, because JK is talking about how she won't regret it, IF she's ready, IF she'll let him (consent is sexy, guys), and drinking that potion (my man knows how to put the woman FIRST). So I think it's basically about coming around to being more mature and putting her pleasure first, as opposed to when they were younger and put themselves first because they were immature and didn't know what they were doing. At least, that's my interpretation of it.

Before anyone judge 3D, read this explanation: The lyrics contrast between JK&Jack in a competitive sense, which explains the chess game they were playing. It's like competition or comparison between the sweet, respectful male interaction that always comes with consent “if you're ready”, “if you let me” which is Jungkook’s side…Plus we see the girls during his part dancing in bold expressions way with a lot of freedom that you can sense from their moves and facial expressions. Jack’s side is the more fuckboy type vibe that gets a lot of girls and is more shallow while talking about them, we see the girls during his part the opposite of Jungkook’s part.. Standing in a row with no expressions and no moves like dolls The most important thing is that at the end jungkook won the chess game.. In other words.. The respectful and loving side won At some points, it seemed as if Jack was making fun of the person he was singing about. At the end he used consent “and you ain't gotta guarantee me nothing” “I just wanna see if I get lucky” and “ I just wanna meet you in the physical and see if you would touch me” So it's like after JK won.. Jack takes the same path and wants to make things more serious and with consent but the girl on the phone hangs up on Jack because of how he treated her. That’s why Jack’s part is important. CTTO

I like it with Jack's rap .. he added the tongue in cheek, make fun of yourself vibe to the song. He didn't say anything misogynistic as people thought .. I think someone in the comment broke down the meaning of his verses, or it could have been on a different reactor's video, can't remember. Sad though that the first reaction from most people was to recoil with horror when Jack is actually brilliant at word play .. and some people are ready to cancel this song because of it! Whatever it is, I wish people would just lighten up, no need to over analyse every single word and just enjoy it for what it is .. a good fun song. Btw JK did say they were aiming for the retro Y2K sound with a modern feel and everyone noticed it, so that went well.

Yea exactly like i just find it overall funny and excessive that the people who are criticizing Jack are the ones who don’t listen to his music or don’t know him as an artist cause like Jack since day one been a troll and he just enjoys life constantly making fun of himself and raps about the most unserious things with the smartest word play. I just think that if you wanna say something about the artists themselves then u gotta know their personality a bit too.

I had this thought. In Seven clean version, Latto's verse was kind of confusing but then we 100 percent understood when the explicit version was released. For me it was the same here with Harlow's verse. I understood what he was saying but it didnt really go with what jk was saying, which i guess was the point because Harlow was saying these things from a diffrent point of view/ dimension. Most people didnt like his verse because of the way they understood the lyrics but that wasnt what he was saying. For me it was just that i felt like he didnt really try very hard to put his sentences together. It was kinda lazy on his part... and his part only. However it doesnt take away from the song for me. The alternate version is amazing but it doesnt have the same effect for me. It seems more like a naughty ballad lol which is fine, but, the video version is what i go for. Anyway long story short, even though Harlow wasnt the greatest doesnt mean that hes a bad rapper or he ruined the song because he absolutely did not. Jk is great and you cant ruin greatness.

Thank you. I love your reaction. I thought the same thing about the 2 versions that he put out for both his songs. I wonder if in a way he was trying to give something to everyone before they went to war over his artistic decisions. If so it was a great effort but it seems that a lot of people just need to give mean comments. I get it that everyone has their opinion but it gets very heavy when you see so many saying they did not like Harlows part or that JK could have done without it. Personally to my untrained ears it sounded good. I did not focus on the lyrics which did not bother me. I thought the flow and his voice fit with the song. Thankfully there is an alternative for all that do not agree.

No Caitlin, it's not just you. DT Parker stated the same thing a few times in his reaction to this and I agree with you both. I agree with you both.

Both this & Seven feel like satire where he's calling out all the people that thirst after him. Funniest thing is a lot of account I have seen w/the worst of the thirst posts are the ones that are cluching their pearls now!😂

How could you forget Audrey's name? she recently choreographed a NewJeans track on YGX. As for Jack check out First Class and Churchill Downs.

Idk maybe cause I’m freaking human and I barely know them lmao why does it bother you so much?
I loved your take on the song! I had the same exact thoughts running through my head when I first heard it. So listening to the alt. Version is still supporting Jungkook if that’s what people’s goals are.
