Soooooooooooooo good! I have a Cajun Cookbook I bought at Best Stop Meats in Scott, LA on my way home from New Iberia. It has a moque choux recipe in it along with many other excellent dishes like catfish courtbillon, black-eyed pea sauce piquant and pig ears. Mmmmmmmmm! So good ❤

I grew up eating this, but we just called it fried corn. My mom is from Arkansas. Fresh corn out of the garden. No meat in it though. Because she served it with meatloaf or some smothered pork chops. Yours looks amazing!!!
@nrock97613 ай бұрын
Amen! My mom is from Little Rock! She says the key is to make sure the starch from the cob is totally removed from the cob and added to the corn mixture. No meat in hers either, but when that starch thickens……….wooh lord that’s some good stuff!💪🏾♥️

@@nrock9761 Hey! We down the street in Hope. In fact, I’ll be in Prescott in about 2 weeks. Going back-and-forth from Prescott, Hope and Texarkana. We burn up at 30 when we go down.😂😂😂
Just showed in my feed. Not my mind off chow, so I almost scrolled by. But that smile got me! You seem like a sweetheart. And the corn is similar to our street corn. I'm subbing.

Thats almost how my grandma made what she called fried corn. Difference is she used celery, made a roux for a gravy base not cream, and was heavy on the black pepper. Yummmm Edit: she also used salt pork instead of bacon or sausage.

I was thinking okra , could be added, maybe probably not but I love okra. I made something to the effectiveness. I believe it was corn. I knew okra it was in there and I guess some onions and tomatoes. I don’t know what it was called, but it was good we can sit up and think of a meal and have it on the table within an hour😂😂😂 We are clean with our food. We don’t joke about that.
