Modern Chunky Rosette Cupcake Swirl - Buttercream Piping Techniques Tutorial

Hi and welcome back to my kitchen. At this time of year boxes of cupcakes make the perfect gift and one piping technique that has become very popular is a chunky, thick buttercream rosette.
I know it can sometimes be hard to know which piping tip you need to create which effect, so in this cake decorating tutorial video I’m looking at the different effects that you can create using 5 different piping tips. The 1B, 1C, 1E, 1F & 1G.

Hi Lynz, I have been using the classic 2D, but I also have the 1E, which I tried today, and I think it will be a favourite in future...making cupcakes for my son's wedding treats, so will be using them both with a blue & white swirl to match the bridesmaids...thanks, really enjoy your tutorials, great for a beginner like me in swirling buttercream...

I thought the rosettes were all going to look the same in the beginning of the video thank you for the tutorial cuz now I can see the difference that the cutouts on the tips can make.
