I know - this nest is so due to receive a happy ending to the season. I'm glad to see Cal flying around so much, but hope s/he sticks around for a little while. :)

If I were an Eaglet(and having Requisite Training as Cal has) --that's the way i would take off on first flight of my adult life(first take off Scene the best). Proud Parents and a Great Flight for Cal. I've done many and many Y adult things I should not have done on old 2 lane roads with double Yellow line against me and Danger head. Cal and I ; cut from the same piece of Cloth. Congrats to a Spirited Y Eaglet. I hope he goes far in Eagle life,finds a good mate and raises many many Spirited Eaglets like himself.
